haha, hmmm, so now I'm somewhat confused. I did like the initial suggestions of the 3 parts to swap, but that mother board was the one I wasn't sure about (but I dont know that much). Saving $200 would be great The new amd that you then suggested did look attractive, excpet maybe I would go with the 460's still. So should I mix and match here, maybe you could copy in the list of links again, its just all new to me and I dont want to confuse anything.

Is the RAM that u just suggested triple channel? or it just comes in 3, Im confused by that. Also You went up to the 480 graphics card I see, which is much more money, which I assume why the powersupply is bigger. Im a little wary of spending $500 on one part If I went with this processor would I need the CPu cooler, I dont want anything to burn out but im not goign to over clock (purpoesfully, i dont know how that works)

So my concern is the MOBO posted seems much less of a qulaity piece than the one I had selected, and it is alot refle ted in price. Also it is dual channel memory instead of tri-channel (as is the ram). The evga board even has a liftetime warranty. Is there a better board, maybe should I go with tri-channel (that will work with the AMD), or again is it worth saving the money as its not going to make a diffrence. O and will the supply work? It says its specifically compatible with i7, ok for amd? Thanks for help, im pretty new

I will actually mostly be doing graphics and 3d modeling, Ive heard intel might be better for this, but maybe I wouldn't even notice the difference? I will definitly go for the 8GB ram becasue of this, might wait on the SLI though. So I can get all the same parts, the will be compatible, except just replacing the onces with AMD stuff that you suggested?

I want to make sure that this is going to work and Im not overlooking anything, alot of this was suggested to me on another forum, but sometimes people mess up. I dont have the money to waste on mistakes (im a student). Also is this a good build, is there anything i could save money on? Also I don't know much about wattages, and Volts, will everything match in the electrical department. Missing anything other than operating system??

So I think I'm goign to order in the morning, still trying to pinch some pennys to get closer to $1000, but fairly happy. I'm starting to think about actually putting hte thing together. I did it once about 8 years ago and barely remeber it, so im a little worried about the wires and cpu/cooler. Is it worth looking into hiring someone to put it all together or should i try to do it. For instance if something is hooked to the wrong wattage or wat not (im carefull i wouldnt jam things into places they dont fit) could I detroy parts.

The onboard LAN will be fine and it actually has two. For a full tower case the 932 is great if you like the looks of it. Some don't like the looks but it is hard to argue with the airflow/cooling the case offers. It is a full tower and so it is large and somewhat heavy. For a mid tower I would suggest either the CM HAF 922 or the CM Storm Sniper. They are both a little smaller than the HAF 932 but they are on the large side for a mid tower case. And they offer good airflow/cooling as well. The HAF 922 is cheaper than the 932 and the Storm Sniper is about the same price as the 932. The Antec 902 is a popular mid tower case and it does alright for cooling. But not quite as well as the previously mentioned cases.jtcraft
Hey so will I be able to fit everything in the CM HAF 922 even if I add another sli video card later on? Im not experienced at putting rigs together so will I be able to do it fairly easily and accurately still, this case still cools well? If i can Id like to go with this and save some money. Also is it risky to just use the stock coller for the CPU? Obviously it saves money, but If its gonna save time and effort and money in the long run is there an affordable cooler i should get, or is it really ok? thanks for the help

What a bout a LAN card, will the motherboard inboard be sufficient (I dont need wireless). Off the top of your heads are there anymore good Case options, I like the 932 (obviously the newer one is better but too expensive). I'm just trying to narrow down and make sure everything is good, compatiable before I purchase tonight

Do I need to get a CPU cooler, the last thing I want is it burning out. Maybe is there somewhere in there I can save some money and put it towards a cooler?
