[QUOTE="Jak-25"]

After what's happening, Sony should give every PSn user a free gift. Serously, how can their servers be weak enough for hackers to get access to people's personal info?

JasonDarksavior

I'm pretty sure every single online service can be hacked, it's just before no one tried. LIVE. PSN, Steam can most likely all be hacked by actual hackers.There's always someone who can do it.

The difference is that Microsoft and VALVe probably don't store their users' information as plain text, and don't use XML files to store credit card data. This is a MAJOR security breach and I think Sony needs to give everyone who was registered to PSN a gift. I think I deserve it now that some hacker somewhere knows my full name, my address, my phone number, and an undisclosed amount of other personal data about me. I'm just happy I'm not one of the people who trusted Sony with my credit card number.

I'll probably get him either Blur or GT5 so he can play with his dad, who also likes racing games. He's a HUGE fan of FPS games and he absolutely adored playing Halo/CoD/RDR/GTA/anything with a gun on my 360.

NOTE: I'm posting this here rather than reading the recommendation thread because it hasn't been updated in a while.

I have a cousin who's 10 years old who just bought a PS3 after his 360 broke. He lives in the Middle East, so games are much more expensive there. I'm coming to visit him soon and I'd like to bring him some games to play on his PS3. I'll also be getting the same games I get him so we can play online together. He's not much for story, but he can follow directions. Crackdown was one of his favorite games on 360, as was Crackdown 2, but sadly those are 360 exclusive. GTA IV is one of his favorite games and I'll be getting him that, and most likely Black Ops as well. I'll be giving him my copies of MGS4 and inFamous, and I'm not sure what else to get him. He does have a move and he has younger siblings so some Wii-style kiddie move games would be nice too.

The G19 costs 200 dollars which is why I wouldn't get it. As for the illuminated keyboard, the Blackwidow is only $10 more.

Looks good it'll work but there are a couple things you can upgrade.. I would get a 2600k CPU, the i7 will give you 8 threads. As for the hard drive, go for a Western Digital Caviar Black HDD. The mobo you chose can support MUCH faster RAM than the one you chose. Get at least 1600 RAM, the mobo supports DDR3 2200.

crossfire 6870 is really good and inexpensive setup (in comparison), and not very power hungry, its worth a look.

If you don't feel like spending that much money on a 6990, get this.

You're not building a computer. You're taking a 7 year old Dell and putting a 2 year old graphics card in it.

Do this first, then link the wishlist, it'll make it much easier for us to compare them.

Like 04d said, the PSU is something you don't want to skimp on. I personally run a Corsair TX750 that works perfectly for my 4870. It should work fine for you, but be warned the cables are very hard to manage since it's not modular.

The Razer Blackwidow isn't a horrible board, but it's not exactly the best either. The MX Blue switches used in the Black Widow aren't ideal for gaming - their actuation and release points aren't at the same place, so doing things like double-tapping can sometimes not register for a faster gamer. Razer also didn't splash out for proper NKRO (which would have cost them about $.07 per board), so it's limited to 6+4 modifiers over USB - not horrible but again, not ideal. If you want a good mechanical keyboard, you can definitely do much better than the Razer Black Widow. As for the Imperator, I definitely wouldn't spring for one. It uses the Philips Twin Eye sensor, which is known to have lift-off issues and tracking issues on cloth pads. It even uses interpolation for its higher DPI settings I believe. Then again, if you've been happy with the Lachesis all this time, maybe you won't be bothered by it since it uses a very similar sensor with most of the same problems.RayvinAzn

What keyboard do you recommend then? I also had a Lachesis/Lycosa combo but unfortunately I killed my Lycosa with a drink so I need to buy a new keyboard. I was going to get a BlackWidow Ultimate but I'd rather not spend $130 on a keyboard like that. My ideal keyboard would have blue backlit keys, but I've also been looking at a G15.
