I've had it for a while and I can tell you that it's fun but not INCREDIBLE. If you liked the weapons of HL2, buy this, because it's basically HL2 dedicated multiplayer.

I just checked for you. My book also has two pages torn out pretty cleanly, and it seems that it was just done for realism.
And for those of you who are interested in the back story, but don't have the book: the pages are ripped out, but the first few letters are still on the scraps still attached to the binding of the book, and the rip is uneven, starting with a small amount of left behind paper at the top and gradually curving toward the end of the book. This suggests that the rip was done hastily and that it was for the purpose of destroying the information, not preserving it.
Just sayin'.
[QUOTE="rakan959"]Unfortunately not. They have gone out of business, since the fact that no one had to pay to enjoy the full game meant no one did... and without any revenue the games eventually died. Are there any F2P MMOs that will let you play for free with decent graphics and DO NOT have a system where people can pay RL money to be better than you at the game?

If they included a donate option I'm sure people would donate to them.
For example, look at Stardock. They have NO DRM on their games, making them very easy to pirate for those that do it. I know people that buy the games and don't play them at all, just to support Stardock for their decision to leave out annoying DRM. Then look at Ubisoft, who's rediculous DRM on their games makes PC gamers NOT buy them.
By "balanced" I mean games that you can't do better in than other people just by buying items from an online shop. RoM has diamonds, EQ2 Extended has a subscription system and station cash, and pretty much every other MMO I've ever played either requires a subscription to play or lets others be better than you.
The reason I don't want a game that lets you buy items to get ahead of others with RL cash is because it goes from a slight advantage to the point where you can't enjoy the game without buying extra items and you don't get the chance to do multiplayer content like raids because you're not geared enough.

I've got a PS3 phat that's about 2 years old and today it started acting up. As I'm trying to download some new files, the PS3 will randomly turn off. When it does, all the lights go off and the only way I can get it back on is by manually turning the switch in the back on the PSU off and back on, at which point the red light comes back on and I can turn it on again. This is really getting annoying as it's corrupting all my downloads. Is my PS3 PSU fried?
First of all, Justin Beiber would be banned from GS. Can't go in to reasons, but w.e
Second, there probably wouldn't be any famous people on GS, they wouldn't have the time to lurk forums, just game. There are barely any celebs that game as it is, so the chances are even less than they would be people who regularly visit a gaming forum.
Yes the PS3 is region free. No the 360 is not, though there are some region free games.tagyhag
But 360 still has the problem of being either/or with PAL and NTSC, while PS3 can play both PAL and NTSC games on ANY PS3, correct?
Xbox 360 can only play PAL or NTSC games, either or. PS3 can play PAL and NTSC games, both of them, and there are no region codes on PS3. Do I have this right so far?
My cousins have PAL 360s and I can't get them games, but if they get PS3s I can just get them NTSC games from the US and send them over by mail.
Either that, or I could be completely mistaken. So can PS3 play any PS3 game, regardless of PAL or NTSC designation and region code?
I'm looking for a game like the upcoming From Dust god-game from Ubisoft. What really caught my eye about it was the terrain editor, I would love a game like that where I could manipulate the terrain and then run a simulation on it to see how plants would spread and land would erode. Does anyone know of any such games?
Ubisoft has always been bad about online and that's because they're so obsessed with DRM. Basically, if it's a Ubisoft game I'm looking it, I won't buy it for anything but a console because console versions have no DRM.
