Atari still makes/publishes great software.
Just like Sega is now.
point is it's an ad-hominem fallacy to attempt to invalidate his opinion based on Atari's discontinuation of its hardware division. He's still very active in the gaming industry on several levels. You don't have to agree with his opinion, but citing Atari as the reason why his opinion isn't valuable is a false argument at its root.
Then why did you include his founding of Atari in the topic title?
did you click the link yet? oh...right...
Actually I did. Being 30 years old, the 2600 was my first real system (I don't count Pong because it only played one game). I'm quite familiar with Nolan Bushnell's contributions to gaming. And yes I fully understand the topic title was the title of the article in question.

The Atari of today has very little in common with the Atari of the 70's and early 80's.
why? just, why? isn't the hdd user upgradable in the first place? why create a new model with a 200gb hdd when sony could just put out the hdd by itself with a lower price. let's have a look at the recent stupid mistakes made by sony:
1) add blu-ray so they can beat toshiba in the format war.
2) charge $200 more than the competition for something that has less exclusives, more ports (poor ports), barley any games out, the one "killer app" (rfom) is a generic shooter.
3) drop the lower-cost model just 5 months after launch.
4) say rumble is last gen then say their putting it in the future.
5) introduce a "true hd" game console and include sd composite cables.
6) now they want to introduce a 200gb model for what, $650, $700.
sony is probably trying to flop out of the system wars on purpose. when the new version of the ps3 flops, expect it to take down bd as well and cause sony to go bankrupt.

Do you have any idea how many billions of dollars it would take for SNE to even begin to legally seek bankruptcy protection?
No I don't own 360 but will get elite on APRIL 29 and bury my PS3 in my yard. I have a ps3 and it is not fun. I wonder why I was so crazy about it so long ago. :cry:sulimanitachi
You say you're not trolling but you make a comment like "I'm going to bury my PS3 in my yard". Check please....
