[QUOTE="Ontain"][QUOTE="ramey70"][QUOTE="SystemWarsMan"] you have to get a cord, im not playing PS3 on SD man. add on 40

Anyone that pays more than $10 for an HDMI cable is a tool.

they'll pay 600 for a game console but paying over 10 for better cable makes them a tool?

A $600 game console can provide certain functions redeemable to the purchaser such as a Bluray movie player, gaming console, etc. There is added value (though you might not want those features). However, you gain nothing but spending more than $10 on an HDMI cable. Not a single thing.

I would throw the system out if it didnt have GTHD. I mean playing in the Infiniti is insane....

SystemWarsMan

still not worth $700 (console + tax)

sorry....:(

:o where do you live? ive never seen taxes being $100 dollars for a ps3 :?

oooops... s/b console+game+tax....

again i must ask...why add a game? hes obiously talking about just GTHD,a FREE DEMO....

To add a game is irrelevant, since he clearly said the ONLY thing that saved him frum throwing it away is the DEMO. i can add say xbox 360 is not worth 800 dollars (console+tax+hd dvd player+game+game+controller)...see? dont make sense. Fanboyism aside here why cant you just say 600? are you that big a fanboy?

anyway to the TC,the skyline is the way to go baby once u hear that car roar ....its :D

KEF, Klipsch, Boston Acoustics, Infinity, Polk, B&W, Athena, Pardigm, HTD, some JBL's are all far and away better than Bose.  Bose is a marketing name.  Visit AVSforums or audioholics and mention the name Bose and see how quickly they agree.

Thank you for your service but PLEASE do yourself a favor and stay as far away from Bose as you can.  You can do much much better with your money.

[QUOTE="onemic"][QUOTE="Ace513"]No they arent.Ace513
I think you are mistaken. Yes they are. Check the NPD numbers. This has been discussed and concluded a ton of times of these boards. People really gotta stop making these repetitive posts.

I work at BB and in my store we have like 60 and they are all collecting dust and same story with and other bb in the district and the gamestops and ebs. So in my experience they arent. Besides if they were they would of surpassed the wiis numbers since those are impossible to find.

Well that's some really conclusive evidence. This board is going to hell.

Porn support won't matter much this generation due to the internet.   Your only source of video porn in the early 80's was pretty much recorded video (beta or VHS) or a massive satellite dish in your back yard.  Now you can get pretty much anything, and I do mean anything, with a few clicks of the mouse.

Oh, I've got a 720p HDTV. So, that's why I know of the problem. I wish Sony would hurry up and fix it.b11051973
You still shouldn't have any problems then. All 720p sets are capable of acception 1080i HD signals. Just set your PS3 to output Blruay playback in 1080i.

[QUOTE="b11051973"]With the PS3s scaling problems, do you know for sure your HDTV is getting a 1080p signal from the PS3? Maybe the PS3 is only sending a 480p signal. That would explain the grain. I have Mission: Impossible 3 on HD DVD and it looks amazing. You can see every pock mark on Laurence Fishburne's face. If the Blu-ray version doesn't look that good, I don't know what to say. Another thing is most Blu-ray movies are still using MPEG-2 encoding instead of the newer MPEG-4 codecs. Talledega Nights is MPEG-2. I watched Monster House last night and that was also MPEG-2. Sony needs to move to the better MPEG-4 codecs like VC-1. So far, I have been much more impressed with HD DVD picture quality. Both formats can use the exact same codecs, so there shouldn't be a difference. Blu-ray for some reason is stuck on MPEG-2.

It depends on the Studio. Some are using MPEG4 and VC-1 for newer bluray releases. Also, all Bluray movies can be played back in either 1080i or 1080p by the PS3. Scaling is only an issue if you want to play back in 720p.
