[QUOTE="raspuns_24"][QUOTE="battlefront23"][QUOTE="sSubZerOo"][QUOTE="brightshadow525"][QUOTE="sSubZerOo"][QUOTE="brightshadow525"]I don't get it... So what are the personal beliefs that are preventing you from believing in God - how come you can't choose to believe in God...?
battlefront23
Because one needs emperical evidence.... If some one said that there were a boogey man in the closet, most rational people would need proof.. The belief of god does not affect your character, morals, or thought process in any way so there is no real reason in just believeing in the being.
:| Did you just say that...?
Yes I did.. And its correct.. Want proof.. Alright.. Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle proved this.. That god does not create morals our society does.. Why don't you read in philosophy to realize that god did not gave man the ability to choose right from wrong, we did. And that right form wrong changes in culture CONSTANTLY.. Take older civilizations, nudity and sexuality is completely fine as a comfortable topic.. In The US, any hint of it causes huge contraversy due to how uptight our culture is on it.. If yoru Chrisitan for isntance you will realize that every single moral platform was already written in the workds of Socrates, Plato and Aristotle.
The Ten Commandments were before thos guys though...
The Ten Commandments have been edited so whats your point?
no they haven't...
Yes, yes they have. As far as interpretation goes. It has.
