Petric is just looking for an excuse and a reason to get on TV.
Its simple common sense. Millions of people shoot people everyday in video games. Maybe once a month one of those people actually kill someone. If video games were the cause what about the millions of people who didn't kill anyone? Its simple. Some people are mentally ill and kill people. Some of these people may play video games. Thats it. End of story.
My depression has actually improved since I have gotten older but I still use games to help with my anxiety. It allows me to have tme to forget about everything that is bothering me. I also use them because it allows me to feel like I can meet certain goals. I am not sure if thats healthy but it helps.
Its an escape. When I am sitting at work bored out of my mind I can think about Terraria and what my next goal is.
I am sure your first reaction is to come up with the most clever way to say "it won't be the same and will fail" but I think your wrong.
They have a good reason and as good as those two games are I think making another one with very little differences made by another team would be a disaster. It would be boring and too familiar without feeling as authentic. They are taking risks to make the game different and stand out. Which actually makes me more interested in the game.
@predatorGS @Scarab83 @Gravity_Slave Still, I understand why some people perfer to play on pc I prefer sitting in my favorite chair and playing console. Its just more comfortable. If I can I play on console over PC 9 times out of 10.
@hector530 I think anyone is at E3 is not a "casual gamer" or is there for other reasons (checking out girls). Either way I don't think either of those methods will appeal to "casual gamers". They buy what they see on TV, they are not going to go online for a small nintendo press conference or E3.
@Thanatos2k Although, it may have seemed like a logical joke at the time the fact the second game is actually better then the first undermines its very esscence.
