Very tall trees catch very strong winds indeed. Let EA continue their Day 1 DLC, cheapskate collector's editions, micortransactions and etc. EA will win the award next year without doubt, and it doesnt matter what argument they put forward

@xvoidassassinx6 Exactly the money would be better spent on helping to curb social ills/ broken homes/ providing better care for the under-privileged children etc

Gamespot should make a feedbackula addressed to this senile diane

she is so senile that she has forgotten a vast majority of gamers are working, earning adults, and can vote her out of office.

Another stupid politician...

define young?

is there a proper randomised controlled trial or meta analysis on studies to prove, beyond reasonable doubt, that violent games are a negative influence on young people?

And please define what do you mean by negative influence in your statement? can you provide a clear definition of the term you are using?

If you cannot provide all the above, please refrain from making statements that make you look like a bimbo to the rest of us.

To all politicians: Gamers are not as naive and stupid as you think.

This is the problem when we have idiots/gangsters as politicians

@ronnet

Exactly what I thought. They can still pull this kind of stunt another time, maybe they will repeat the same shit with ME4(if there is ever one) but gamers are not idiots... most gamers are working adults who work hard to earn cash and it really upsets us when they take us for fools.

I didnt buy DA2 because I felt they were gonna do another "ultimate AKA complete edition" just like DAO. I bought DAO collector's edition and also the bluray for Awakening expansion, and when they released the ultimate edition of DAO, it just hurts me real bad... I am paying extra for the stuff that eventualy comes in a single package, and cheaper.I stopped buying their stupid DLCS after that.

and hey, if they do not release DA2 Ultimate edition, it doesnt matter, coz I aint gonna waste my cash on it anymore.

bye bye Bioware/EA

More ME3 DLCs?

What EA has done- milked gamers repeatedly for cheapskate material-eg: an overpriced Collector's edition

What Bioware has done- killed the fans with a disappointing ending, ignore what the fans want and lied to the fans by releasing a half baked conclusion to the trilogy

Yes they have given out free DLCs for ME3 so far, but now the skeleton is coming out of the closet, they gonna milk gamers and make gamers pay heavily for DLCs, which should have been in the complete package in the 1st place.

Not gonna buy it. Screw yourselves Bioware and EA

well done, this is a well written article "The curious thing about this social contract is that I take offense to it being breached. I apparently don't mind being lied to, so long as it's done "the right way." When publishers push the marketing hype beyond the realm of the plausible, I get riled up because they aren't treating me with the basic respect to which a customer is entitled" Yes. gamers who can afford that extra bit of money can buy whatever DLCs and "extra contents" the game publishers dished out on us, and of course if any consumer is unhappy, he or she can keep the money and don't buy it. Its a free world and free market. The game publishers should at least treat us gamers with some respect, and don't expect to fool adult gamers with some silly marketting gimmicks. There are instances where we know something is over-priced and over-hyped but we still play along, because we love the franchise so much and we wanna support the industry. The bottom line is: you play the fool too much with your customers, you gonna lose support. That is how simple it is. There are already a few examples where we see loyal fans shy away from the so called : collector's edition/ special edition/ whatever gimmick edition there is, because later on there will be a GOTY version or whatsoever which makes it feel like a slap on our face for purchasing an overpriced item not so long ago. Adult gamers can afford it, but only if they think it's worth it. Game publishers please wake up.
