How often do you go to a movie theater, and what movies you like?

CRT displays are the best television displays you can buy, they are better than LCDs, plasmas, DLP and basically any fixed pixel digital display when it comes to depth of black, contrast, color saturation, detail and basically better performers in picture quality. 1080i is basically 1080p, but it is in interlaced format, which is half the pixel information (think 1920*540 real pixels, seperated by 1 pixel to appear 1920*1080).While CRTs are not fixed pixel displays,Early generation CRT based HDTVs used 7 inch CRTtubes (guns) which given a resolution of 540p, which given the 1080i signal was easier to send since it is half the information of 1080p. larger guns offered higher resolutions and even better performance, with 9 inch guns are the best and have resolutions beyond 1080p.With CRTs, bigger is better.

I mean the prespective directionof the artistry of the game. you can't just make something we haven't seen but throw in strange sights and ideas and then call it art. A great story and characters don't make art, but whatcomes to his mind in direction and execution.

Yes, but If it didn't have a blu ray drive, I wouldn't have gotten it, considering the price forthe game console. Well, have any of you play games on a projection screen? A whole lot better playing on a 150 inch HD projection than playing on a 20"inch computer monitor or even a "50 inchLCD.

Being a long gamespot user, I always see ratings of games that while are great, are based off of their technical elements and enjoyability, but they rarely talk about their creative and artistic ideals, their prespective on the subject, their stories, their humanity, always the epic, the lengthy, always the value, the graphics, the special effects. It goes for the heroism, the goal, the entertainment, the battles, the characters they look up as role models, super heroes, or violent anti-heroes, but not as organic human beings that think, feel or express. This is what I question people that try to claim Video games as an artform, even some of the greatest games that are claimed as art (Bioshock, Shadow of the Collossus) always keep the competetive and let's face it forgiving mindlessness of games. They never punish you for the way you play, never question your humanity, just because you seesomething unusual doesn't mean it is art, just because you can make an imaginative choice, doesn't make it art, it is no different from winning a round of football or pulling off a headshot. Choice can never and should never be taken within an artform. If we were to take video games as an artform, we should take a look at what we are playing to begin with. The death sequence in Final fantasy 7,I can see that, but what about the rest of the game? I can see some people bringing up some examples and they are welcomed, but from mostof video games that I've played, all this leads to the fact that video games cannot be an artform as this, I do believe that. But you know what, I'm fine with that, I am enjoying playing my games for their entertainment. If I want to watch something for it's art, I watch an Arthouse film (One of my favorite types of movies in fact), If I want to play a game, I play to be entertained, I don't like watching action movies for their action (they feel like watching someone play a game). I did not ask a question I would have already knew, but to ask what you think of what games would be rated if they were rated for their artistry, quite different.

I recently looked around the Playstation Store and they had a port to Myst via download for the PSP. I was curious how the port was done, otherwise, I think I'll look for the Playstation port (or PC). I do like the Myst games, but I haven't played the original alot (My expectations were too high when I played Myst IV:revelation). I read it was done by Hoplite (the developers who ported Myst on the DS), and I'm not sure if I wanted to try the PSP since it cost $20, (Please, no Anti adventure fans telling me to get another action game).

They did a great job of capturing the sense of chaos on the battlefield and the first part of the sniper mission was very atmospheric. I didn't care much for the story or its characters though. Never understood why the guy I shot XX years ago was now alive and I was very indifferent towards the ending of the game. And then they throw in that god-awful rap song over the credits...BenderUnit22

I actually did enjoy some of the charactersand has a nice sense of humor(excluding theobnoxious Griggsand yes I don't like that rap song either), and does an excellent job at presenting itself, including the story.

Have any of you ever beaten the on veteran difficulty? That was really hard and good luck beating the Skydiving sequence on Veteran.

An excellent Platformer, and the user created levels extend it's life alot. Make sure you have an internet connection to take advantage of littleBigPlanet, that is where the fun is.

Unfortunately, I have been playing mostly Rock Band, Call of Dutyor Fallout, but I love playing it when I have the chance.
