@uncle5555: Are you really saying that Microsoft don't know how many games are on their system, bearing in mind they certify every game that gets launched on it?
@dragoonmike: Play Anywhere is to put Microsoft published games on PC as well as Xbox. That launched last year, after all other Halo games other than Halo Wars which, not surprisingly, is on PC. There was a few years delay (and another company porting it) to get Halo 1 and 2 to PC as, at the time, Microsoft were trying to sell Xbox's. Nowadays, they want to grow Xbox and Windows 10 gaming so they release games on both platforms at the same time. Just because they didn't do that 10+ years ago, doesn't mean they are lying about doing it now.
@Uncle_Rell: The Xbox One X (as Project Scorpio) was announced before the PS4 Pro, so it would be mightily impressive to retaliate to something in advance of it existing.
@fanboyman: You benefit from faster load times and better graphics (improved textures, lighting, texture filtering, draw distance etc).
It's not just about pushing more pixels, it's the better graphics to go with it. 4K HDR will look better, but supersampled 1080p will still look a lot better than any other console on your TV.
