also ms, told us back in july sony was doing this, and they stated the price was going to be 399.99. thats th only way sony can it out for all consumers to eat it up. plus its missing card readers, 2 usb cords, 40 gigs of hdd space,

The 40GB PS3 will have the same # of USB ports as the 80GB one. Taking the two ports out would not save Sony any money, and would only anger the customers.
The FCC test showed two less usb ports on that model number. The system also had wifi. the usb pors probally around two dollars a piece! Terrific ! Price is a big problem right now for Sony.THey are likely stripping down to console to reduce the price,not only to save money.
