[QUOTE="reason58"]

The NFL is a monopoly. They choose who gets exclusive rights to everything.

Assuming they get paid a percentage and not a flat fee, its in the NFL's interest to discourage a race to the bottom (in terms of pricing).

You are right. It is in their interest, not ours. What you call a "race to the bottom" most of us would call normal competition in a free market.

I am unsure what the point of this suit is. It claims that EA was overcharging for their football games, but I am pretty sure their football games were priced exactly the same as every other game on the market.

Do you have any proof to back up your claim that piracy is costing the game industry billions of dollars a year in lost sales? Keep in mind that video games are more profitable now then at any point in their history.

Am I the only one who thinks this facial technology looks bad? It reminds me of those heads that have faces projected onto them in haunted houses. They look totally flat, like the face is just stamped on.

So... is the used games market based on a loophole in a law or something? You'd think they'd crack down on it like piracy. Disclaimers clearly say you're not supposed to rent, reproduce etc... but if it's done with the consent of the publishers, then **** them all to hell for this passkey BS.TentacleMayor
No, the used game market is the same as every other used market. Used cars, used furniture, used books, etc.

Ok, I'll bite. What is a pair of "audiophile" headphones?

Battlefield was always a Multiplayer game. The people who don't want a single player for this game are more than likely fans of the original battlefield games, who know why they play them. Because Dice can deliver a very satisfying online experience. Battlefield players don't care about a crappy campaighn, we just want a good multiplayer, its why we got into the series and its why we continue to play the series.

A little bit of selection bias there. Of course players of a MP-only game would be primarily interested in MP. That is not to say that demand for a SP mode is not significant.

I rarely bother with online play anymore. If the game does not have an engaging single player mode then it doesn't get my money, simple as that. All that lost revenue adds up, and will hurt the multiplayer experience as well. Everyone loses when people take the attitude of, "LOL who cares about single player they are dumb."
