Ok so I basically narrowed it down to two choices, both are MSI's

The first one is a 14" with an i5, and a GT 540m
http://www.xoticpc.com/msi-x460dx-p-3150.html

I originally chose this one because it fitted my needs for portability and battery life, but then I started to have second thoughts because after watching some vids it seemed a bit too small for me especially if I were to game ocassionally. Although fast and portable, I dont want to be stuck with its smallness...or am I just thinking to much?

The next one is a 15.6 with both i5 or i7 configs with also a GT 540m (theres another version w/ a GT 555m but I dont want to sacrifice battery life/portability)

http://www.xoticpc.com/msi-fx620dx256us-p-3440.html

I came across this one on the same website and saw other models on newegg with slightly higher specs. I wanted to get this one but its weight and battery life are kind of turning me off. It resolved my issue of size and seems just right but with every 15.6 i see the battery life goes down drastically no matter the cpu/gpu inside. It is advertised that the battery life is 6+ so is it really? and the weight is about 5.3 pounds which is also offputing. I wanted to get the higher configurations but obviousl the weight and battery life will get worse.

My basic questions are, how is the actual battery life of these laptops. If you also read you can see weight is a big concern for me as I was initally planning to get something more portable than my current one but was sidetracked with the opportunity of upgrading my GPU in the process. Im pretty muc set on nothing lower than a GT 540m. As for the processor, does it really matter if it is an i5 or an i7?

Thanks in advance

www.powernotebooks.com/PowerPro-R-11-36-gaming-laptop-notebooks-sys-4273.html - power pro R 11:36 - 15.6 in

www.powernotebooks.com/MSI-X460DX-gaming-business-laptop-notebooks-sys-4174.html - MSI x460dx - 14 in

I honestly dont really know where I am going here. My original plan was to get the MSI for COLLEGE mainly because of its battery life, and light weight and I still wanted to play modern games so its 540m GPU was a big plus but I am now realizing it still isnt the best GPU. Then I stumbled across the Powerpro R which is significantly bigger, heavier but nonetheless much more powerful.

I am sort of stuck in my situation of school vs gaming and which I should cater my decision to. Because while the MSI is smaller in everyway, I will be behind on gaming and ever so more into the future. Then theres the powerpro which I wont have to worry about in terms of performance of high end games but I am stuck with lugging around an almost 8 lb beast. (is it really that big/heavy for me to be complaining about?)

I guess you could say im concerned about size and performance ability.

Any advice or help? Other suggestions of laptops can be considered. Thanks

Sorry for not linking, there was a problem.

It seems that anyone nowadays with a finance major wishes to pursue a job in IB. Personally, to me it would be nice but are there other uses for the degree? Mainly while im still an undergrad I just hope to work somewhere in a corporation, but will I be getting around with a B.S in finance? Or would I be better off in accounting?

Hello,
If youre not good at something should you still continue on with it? I hear countless of times that yo should continue it anyway but when it comes to choosing a CAREER, does that rule still apply?

I ask this because I just started college. My parents are forcing me to do nursing but unfortunately I have no passion for it. For some reason I am attracted to Chemistry. I Know it is ALOT of math and I am extremely weak in that area. But I feel that if I ever do get the hang of things it would be worthwhile.

That is...if I ever do get it. For me I am extremely afraid of math. It is very hard for me to get the concept and in my college ciriculum I am behind on my math placement, but I am willing to work hard to get it.

But does that hard work actually pay off? With a Major basically engraved in math will it eventually come to me? If I work hard enough does my effort work?

I know I am everywhere with this post but I dont really know how to explain it. I am not asking for sympathy here, rather helpful tips or advice from personal experience. Did you overcome this obstacle or do you suggest doing something else?

Thanks

Hi, I am curently in my first year of college as a nursing major. I really wanted to do psychology but the job outlook/salary is very low. I was wondering if I should take psychology as a minor instead?

I heard from countless people that a minor in psychology (or anything related to the health practice) would increase my strengths in nursing, and with the minor I could always have more accredidation with my psych minor. (If anything I could fully get the psych degree after I get my BS in Nursing)

I am also hearing getting a minor in psychology would be totally useless other than im taking it because I enjoy it. People told me you take minors because it is a major of interest to you NOT because you think it will help your career.

Sorry im all over the place here. It was just bothering me.

Any suggestions/helpful tips?

Just wondering, math is not my strongest point. I barely passed basic trig in high school but since this is the career path I might possibly be taking, I know have the urge to work hard.

Also what is a good minor if doing Pharmacy? Chemistry?

Ive heard the general saying as the older the guitar gets and the more you play it the better the tone gets.

I have an ovation celebrity (NOT AN APPLAUSE). It was made overseas so its nothing special. Got it for $400. I had it for a year now and put some elixirs on it. Its been 3 dyas since i changed the strings and the sound right now is the best its ever been. I know im all over the place here but since the back is basically a plastic bowl does the sound differ over time? DOes the plastic end up degrading? Anything I should know about wat happens to it over time?

Im getting more serious with my tastes for harmonica. I really dont know much but I wanted to get one for blues. I heard for beginners I should start with a C but I like the tone of the D and how it goes well with blues so im pretty much decided. (even though when I get better ill buy more)

Since im new I dont really know anything about brands and prices.

What is a decent price and brand of harmonica? I heard Hohner was good but idk.

Any suggestions, please remember only in thekey of D

So I have a very very clsoe friend of mine who is a girl...I have tried once before in asking her out but she denied sayin we should just be friends. I was fine with that and over time we have become really close (not romantically)

Then theres this girl at my school who ive been seeing and it is clear to me that this girl and I want to start dating...im jsut not sure how my best friend will react and vice versa. I can see myself not doing things i would usually do when i was single with my best friend. From my best friends point of view there would be nothing wrong but from my girlfriends point of view she might think sometihng up. (I even bought my best friend Dr. Suess thing 1 and thin 2 shirts would it be even possble to wear those without my girlfrend getting jealous?)

I plan to be 100% loyal to my girlfriend and I dont want to do anthing i wil lregret later. How should I handle this situation and anybody have had teh same experince?
