I also understand that in DotA you get a "Hero" and from my experience in the SP demo he levels up just like in any RPG, but is this the case in DotA? Or do all players start out with the same level in the beginning of the match? Is the "Hero" the only character I control in the DotA match?

Seeing how this games popularity is based on its online I can see the millions of people who play the component spending time to master it. That being saidwould a newcomer to the game like me be able to function well in an online match? Or will i just be brutally owned. How long will it take me to be able to at least keep up a fair fight against some of these warcraft players especially the ones in DotA?

Also hows the community? is it like WoW's wherethere are tards about almost everwhere or just a few?

Coming from a newcomer to the franchise to the Baldurs Gate series and only have played a couple Bioware games myself in all I am looking foward to this game. The gameplay looks sweet and somewhat similar to The Elder scrolls series in terms of the setting and so does the combat. I just hope its not buggy and plays smoothly.

Then again should we worry? its developed by Bioware??

Thoughts?

so I quit WoW and am looking for another MMO. I heard this game to be greatly recommended. I plan to play the 14-day trial but recetly looking on youtube I have to say this game does look complex. Now dont call me another mindless WoW fanboy cause Im willing to give this game a try but even so is there a tutorial included in the trial? Cause as said before this game looks complex and I dont want to waste my time wandering aimlessly in the game not knowing what to do.

thanks and also any other advice and tips on the game? I know its just all opinion here but how is the game?

so I just quit WoW and wanted to turn to single player RPGs rather than MMOs this time around. Im looking for a game like Oblivion or Fallout 3, with the wide openess and do what you wanna do gameplay aswell as an epic storyline. Now I recently started expanding my game choices now that I quit WoW so im not familiar with alot of good single player games nor have the time to research all of them.

Ive been looking into Dragon Age origins but that comes out in the Fall and will probably get pushed back. Are there any good single player RPG games out there that are fun to play? Im looking for games with LONG storylines and tons of side quests to do. I want a game that I can invest the time in and then look back and feel like ive accomplished something by just looking at some pixels. (ya WoW did that to me!) Also a multiplayer component is optional.

I got a group of friends and we planned to have to just hang out and just play a scary game at night in the dark. Now while it would be a better idea to just watch a movie we decided to just play some video game. Some of us dont even play video games and just want to be scared. Hopefully we could crank up the surround sound and play whatever game we choose and have a fun night. But that is sort of the problem right there, we dont know what game to choose.

We were deciding on fear 2 or Condemned 2 we dont really know anything about the both of them but I heard they give their share of scary moments. I heard the C2 story is confusing so I and Fear 2 looked like some regular shooter.

Im stuck in a hole here which will give us a worthwhile time? Any other scary games to recommend me?

Im getting bored with Halo and Gears since they are the only two main games I play. There are no really good WRPGs out that I want to play and never really payed attention if not hated the stlye of the JRPG genre. Now Im currently looking into SO4. I heard the gameplay is really good and doesnt get old. As for the story i heard its not that great but I was never an SO4 fan to begin with (will be my first SO4 game) and will be my first JRPG in general.

That is my problem, mostly all the reviews stateSO4 builds on the current battle/combat style other JRPGs have which makes it so great butsince I have no prior experience to the JRPG style i do not how they place and how they differ from WRPGs. Ive ben looking at vids and reviews at the game and I see the general feel of how the game works. That being said watching is very different from actually playing it.

My question is would this game be the right game for a person who would be playing a JRPG for the first time and really investing in it? (I plan to put alot of time into it)
