Apparently someone shot a soldier at the national war memorial and then shot up the inside of parliment. One gunmen dead, possibly others at large. All of downtown is locked down (including Ottawa U, where I am). Scary shit.

I thought Revenge of the Sith was actually pretty good. Grievous was cool and I thought they handled the battles between Yoda/Palpatine, and Obi Wan/Anakin quite well.

Currently reading "It" by Stephen King. I'm only about half way through but so far it has been fantastic. One of his creepier books too (clowns were already creepy, but having a demonic clown that lives in the sewers murdering children? ****).

The movie is best summed up with a "meh". It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. Some decent action and the plot and acting were alright. If you have a couple hours to kill you could do worse.

Transfer? You seem to want to. Either convince your parents to change their mind or take out a student loan and do it yourself.

Uhh, yeah, they're called first impressions. This rule pretty much applies to all human interaction in some form or another. Would you want to hang out with a guy who just sat their awkwardly and didn't make eye contact with you? No. Sure, he may be a great friend if you gave him a few weeks to warm up to you, but the fact is he was weird when you first met him and people don't want to spend time with weirdo's. With women it's not like you have to blow their socks off with your masculinity and humour the first time you meet them, you just need to make a good first impression (ie. don't be weird). Also, what is with all this "women only care about money and looks" talk? Sure some do, but some don't. People come in all flavours of the rainbow. I've met just as many dickbag cheating men as I have slutty superficial women.

So, just to go by the cop haters logic in this thread. Since all cops are evil sacks of shit for the actions of a few, my guess is you should also think that all civilians are basically the devil incarnate because the vast majority of assaults, murders and rapes going on in america are done by good ol' civilians. And since we like to paint everyone with the same brush and all, I guess I can be safe in calling all the cop haters a giant pile of shit right? No, logic doesn't work that way.

Long story short, I don't get the irrational hatred of cops. To me it always just screamed immaturity. Anyone who has actually dealt with cops on a regular basis knows that cops are just people. There are good ones and bad ones, but as long as you aren't an ass hat to them, they will not bother you.

Well no, most guys (whether they admit it or not) can generally tell if a guy is hansom or not, but it is a tad odd that you want to hang around him because of his "cuteness". If you have no sexual interest in someone, why would it matter how "cute" they are?
