I generally side with Israel. Yeah, they are kind of dicks, but I would be too if I were in their position. They were run out of their homeland centuries ago, suffered the worst atrocity in human history in the holocaust, and when they did get their homeland back their Arab neighbors invaded them on three separate occasions (48, 67, 73). It sucks what happened and is happening to Palestine, but they are not the first country to lose land, and not the last to suffer civilian casualties in war. In regard to the current conflict in Gaza, I know if Greenland start firing rockets at my home country of Canada, threatening my friends and family, I would have no qualms about bombing the living **** out of them.

A people cannot claim land that their FOREFATHERS lost centuries ago. What's done is done.

Awesome. So Israel just needs to wait another 50 years or so until all the people in Palestine that were alive when it was independent die, then Israel can claim uncontested ownership of it. Cool beans.

Meh. It's their call. If they feel the black ghost outfits Muslim women wear are a security risk and against their societal values, then all the power too them. There are already many clothing laws in most cournties (ie, you can't wear apparel that targets a group with hate speech), so I don't see this as some new breach of our freedoms.

I never understood why someones religious beliefs must be treated as sacred by everyone else. Who gives a **** what you believe? You're in France now, obey the law. Do you honestly think your all powerful creator of the universe cares what you are wearing? He sounds like a stalker.

I saw the movie last night and I was actually quite impressed with it. I had seen the terrible ratings the movie got so maybe I went in with low expectations, but I quite enjoyed myself. The movie is a bit long, but the action was great, Wahlberg was a way better lead than Shia "the beef", the plot was about as good as any of the other movies, and I actually thought the humor was far better than the past couple of Transformers films. You have to go into the film with the right frame of mind, but it is by no means a terrible film. I would say it is far better than the shit that was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and is at least as good if not better than Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

To be honest, I think the reason everyone is hating on this movie is simply because it is another Transformers movie, and we all thought the series was done.

Also, minor spoilers here, but at one point in the film Optimus rides in on T-Rex bot, destroying everything in his wake (and probably a bunch of civilians too), then the camera cuts to Wahlberg who gives Optimus the slightest of nods like a total badass. I was laughing my ass off. That and all the talk about the "seed" were too funny.

Terminator 2, The Dark Knight, Catching Fire, and Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan all come to mind, but they were all building off solid foundations to begin with. I think the biggest leap in quality I can think of would be Fast 5. I enjoyed the first Fast and Furious movie in kind of a cheesy way, but the rest were all fairly mediocre. Fast 5 is one of my favorite action movies.

I've been have a nostalgia trip and watching season 1-3 of Digemon on Netflix with my friends recently and it is actually pretty enjoyable. Granted, we are usually heavily intoxicated while watching, but it is still a good time. Season 3 is by far my favorite, but I still enjoy season 2 and the second half of season 1.

Because for 95% of obese people, being overweight was their choice. No one is born fat. They choose to eat the unhealthy foods, to not exercise, and to generally live an unhealthy life style. If we can't judge people for their life choices, then what can we judge them for?

I thought it was great. I appreciated the fact that they didn't just shove Godzilla down your throat the second the movie starts, they actually took time to build the suspense and plot. The characters were a tad thin, but they got the job done and I don't think I've ever seen a monster movie with enthralling characters anyway (they're not really the star of the show). It was also nice they weren't trying to force any kind of "cautionary tale" meaning with the film, they just showed how nature doesn't give a **** about us.The fight scenes, action, and destruction were fantastic. Overall this is one of my favorite monster movies and tied with Captain America for my favorite movie of the year (so far).

Putin is a badass. He really embodies leadership. You may not always agree with what he does, but he just doesn't give a **** and goes and does it anyway, and does it well.

I all honesty though, he is what Russia needed. After the cold war ended, Russia was in shambles. Putin took charge, with an iron fist at times, and rebuilt Russia into a power once again. If Russia had had some pussy politician only concerned with looking good in power they would never have overcome the chaos cause by the fall of the USSR.
