This is the most tired, played out argument.

The games are optimized and designed for WINDOWS PLATFORM PCS. Do you understand what that means? Do you realize who owns Windows? Do you understand that Crysis, World in Conflict, Farcry 2 all use DX10 and are designed for Windows platforms?

Microsoft owns Windows. Any game designed, optimized, using Windows as a platform is owned, and controlled, by Microsoft. 360-PC-Windows it's all the same thing for the last time.

If you bought a PC that uses Windows and you use Windows-platform PC games, you're under MS's camp anyway you like it.

And why shoudln't MS expand their 360 games over to their second multi-billion dollar WINDOWS GAMING PLATFORM?

This card, that isn't even 50% of what an 8800 GTS is, is going run Crysis flawlessly, with the same graphical detail that you're yapping about?

It can't even run current DX9 games. Give me a break, man.

"Each of these questions leads us to an interesting yet disturbing reality. We fear that those buying "DX10" cards in the hope that they will play the highly anticipated game titles due out later this year will be sorely disappointed in the performance levels. To answer these questions we must first start by looking at the offerings by ATI and then compare and contrast it against what Nvidia has to offer. Finally we will examine what is happening in the industry: the current state of graphics for the mainstream gamer is weak at best, and leaves us asking for more from the graphics makers."

[QUOTE="rican914"][QUOTE="Teufelhuhn"]I have one and I'll play exclusives on it, but I'm not exactly what you'd call a fan. I can play many of its games on my PC with better graphics and better controls, without having to pay ridiculous prices for multiplayer or for accessories.Teufelhuhn
Yeah, instead you'd rather pay inflated PC hardware prices that reach insane costs. Don't ever, ever, bring up price in a PC-console debate. Just don't. PC has a lot of things going for it. Price is not one of them.

Oh, because paying $100 for a USB Wi-Fi adapter isn't "ridiculous". And because paying 50 bucks a year for P2P multiplayer isn't "ridiculous". Or paying $200 for a 120 GB HDD.

And don't try to tell me those things aren't mandatory, because a $600 video card sure as hell isn't mandatory either.

It sure the hell is if you want to enjoy your second coming, Crysis. Tell me I can run Crysis, at a decent framerate, with OK gfx with a mid-range PC, I'll bring up some links, and we'll have it.

Personally, I don't see what's wrong with Xbox. I own one, and a PC, however due to recent price changes, in what we call mid-range graphics cards, PC gaming has become too expensive of a hobby for me as of late. I've got bills to pay already and cannot afford PC hardware prices.

And if you think a 8600 will be able to run Crysis anywhere near flawlessly, you're insane. Nope, you'd need a high end graphics card for that, something only a sad individual, with too much time on their hands, would purchase.360 allows me to play games, at a certain quality, that my PC simply cannot do. I love that I can play Bioshock without breaking the bank for a new rig.
