Is it just me or is MGS4 looking not that impressive graphically. I know the inevitable graphics are not everything response but I just expected more from our friendly neighborhood "super computer" especially when this is the most hyped title from the "year of the PS3." Something tells me GOTY is gonna be GTA4 and MGS4 will be overshadowed by many many better games like Fable2, NG2, Gears 2.....heck even Resistance 2.

Gotta say one big gripe I also have with the game besides the gameplay vids looking like GRAW1 and the horrible comic book-esque storytelling with laughably convoluted plotlines is just the seriousness of the game that is contrasted by constant silliness. Take the video where you see some enemy squad running and flipping like ninja's. They land crouched and draw weapons holding them in the air behind their backs. For me Kojima's stylistic approach is so over the top its just rediculus. Any squad in a stance like that would got shot in a second. Who holds a weapon like that. Looks like they are posing for hero shots not fighting. What a freaking lame game.

I wasnt saying SR invented free aiming Im just saying there are some things that SR brought to the table that are now in GTA

Saint's Row will be lucky to sell in a year 1/2 of what GTAIV sold in in it's first week.

no. saints row is made by people without imagination. they lack the talent that GTA4 devs have.

Waht about the insurance fraud missons? I dont think I have laughed so hard in quite a while.

just throwing this out there but I am about half way through GTA IV and I have noticed how many things it has taken from saints row.

dont get me wrong GTA has added a lot more but I cant shake the feeling that If saints row hadn't come out then the game would have been a lot worse. I also loved the create a player in saints row as it just felt a lot more personal tailoring my own creation (piercing, tattoos, watches, plastic surgery, etc) rather then pre-selected players that I cant understand sometimes

This leads me to think that saints row 2 may be better then GTA if they take all the new features of GTA and pile more on top.

And yea...a sequel to a mediocre game has a pretty good chance of being mediocre....its the circle of life.
