you are way underestimating the Q6600. if you get a 9800gtx or a gts 250, the video card is gonna be the bottleneck big time. i have a q6600 and had a gtx 260....recently upgraded to a gtx 470.... get at least a gtx 460 and overclock the q6600 to at least 3ghz

i have 2 seagate 7200.10 hard drives in raid 0.

here are the specs for the drives:

http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=2d1099f4fa74c010VgnVCM100000dd04090aRCRD

although i'd love an SSD, if i were to upgrade, i'd probably have to get non-SSD drives.

when i run windows experience index, everything is at either 7.2 or 7.4.....except my disk data transfer rate is 5.9. would it be worth it to upgrade my hard drives? say i put them in raid 0 again, would new drives be a lot faster even if i don't go with a SSD?

rest of pc is q6600 @3ghz

6gb ram

gtx 470

win7 64 bit

thanks!

prob not until the next gen consoles come out unfortunately. game companies are making their games for the lowest common denominator (consoles)....then they just port it over to pc with high res graphics.

the pc version of black ops is by far the most unoptimized of all the cod games. it also shows the most obvious signs of being a console port of all cod games.
