@quinnd6: Exactly...I hate the phone comparison... when I upgrade my phone I basically sell or get rid of the old one completely... I like to keep my consoles so I can go back to them and play older games...honestly if consoles wanted to somehow add additional power via external components I would somewhat be OK with that... but having to buy a whole new box? No!... I hope this fails... the casual fans are definitely not going to upgrade...this will confuse the market for sure
@berserker66666: The ps4 and X1 are still selling are large amount of consoles despite being underpowered... they should just let these consoles run their course (even a short 5 year life span at least).
Hell...I even think Nintendo should've held off on the NX until 2017... I am just worried that Nintendo and Sony will hurt their reputations similar to what Sega has done
People already do not like buying games early knowing there is a complete edition coming out one day...the same will go for hardware as well...or console gamers will just switch to PC/Nintendo
@Bread_or_Decide: I really do hope the NX saves the console business! Honestly, the Wii U has become one of my favorite Nintendo systems... Sure every game I own is a first party/2nd party exclusive but still... the games that are released are solid... work right out of the box and play great... Graphics don't make games great. Even though the online isn't all that I have had no issues playing any of there games online and it's free
I think it's a bad idea and a lot of people might just jump into PC gaming (if they haven't already). Nintendo really would be the only console to own if Sony and MS are going to start doing this.
@AussieDCO: I agree...a complete version with everything on the disc will get me to buy it. I am a more casual Street fighter fan so I don't mind the wait.
@nabinator: Only way to show that this is not acceptable is to not buy these kinds of games. I only buy complete games to be honest. Or at the very least I buy games when they are at least 50% off. Maybe cause I am older now I no longer fall for the hype. My backlog has me covered while I wait for prices to drop.
@orochipunisher: I agree with you somewhat... The only way to get better is by taking a few L's online and learning the hard way...but... there are some fighting games I have played (Injustice and MKX come to mind) where I found it easier for me to win online then play the cpu on the hardest difficulty.
Also, I know quite a few people that like fighting games despite their lack of skill and single player content is important to them.
All I'm saying is that I can see and understand why the casuals are outraged.
@skyhighgam3r: The Rockstar games are great though... Solid sale for people who missed out on them... I'm thinking of finally getting Red Dead and San Andreas
@Tranula if gamers have money to burn and want a pc console they should go all out and buy the Syber Vapor Xtreme not the Alienware Alpha... that's my opinion.. Alienware Alpha is for those that travel a lot and want to play their steam games on the go but then again a laptop can accomplish this much better
