@Mozelleple112: She's definitely hotter than Abby. But still not that hot. Japanese developers always create the hottest women in videogames. They're almost always hot blondes or redheads with big blue eyes and soft facial features.
@Acheron18: I'm only talking about games where the female protagonist is some badass warrior. A game like Portal for example, I would NOT call a grrrl power game. And it is a game I've always loved.
BTW, if you liked Portal, check out Quantum Conundrum. Extremely underrated game. Made by one of the same female developers that created Portal.
@jakgogo: Having women warriors as the protagonist is just so silly and cartoonish. Something you'd expect from a childish comic book show. Totally kills the immersion, too.
Ubisoft is wise to give players a choice. This way everyone is happy.
@Acheron18: It's a combination of both. I identify more with a male protagonist, and I also have a natural aversion to anything "grrrl power." But I can still overlook it, if the game is really good. Which I think Horizon Zero Dawn is. It's a good game, that had potential to be a masterpiece.
@worldcitizen: Gameplay wise, the game felt pretty unique. What I really liked about it, is there is a strategy to take down every enemy. So if you're struggling with a certain robotic monster, then you are either doing something wrong, or you don't have the right upgrades. By the end of the game, no robotic monster should be any challenge for you.
@fillup0: It's definitely better than the average open world game. If this game had a male protagonist, was 10 hours shorter, and ran at 60FPS, it would be a masterpiece.
@analgrin: Yup. I loved the game in the beginning, but by the end, I couldn't wait for it to end. Dragged out way too long. Sadly, a lot of games have this problem.
@mogan: I'm no longer interested in any game that can't do at least 60FPS. I vowed a few years ago to never touch a broken 30FPS game ever again, and I haven't. Which is why I've been doing almost all my gaming on PC.
