Where is the magical 5 dollar difference coming from? All my used games I got were in the 10-20 dollar range. That's saving alot more than 5 dollars.

Make good games and people will buy them. As for me I just got my xbox in sept so I went to game stop and for around 100 bucks was able to get Orange box, res 5, bioshock, assassins creed...etc all these games that I never would of purchased if I couldn't of gotten them at that price. However when Assassins creed II came out i got it new because they made a good game, I was intrigued to play the second. So the company in the end made money off of me because If I never played the original assassins creed I might not have purchased the second. I refuse to feel sorry for developers or major corporations. As a consumer we are getting hammered enough we need to worry about ourselves. Amen to anthonycg he got it right on the head. If you make a great game consumers will want it new ie Red Dead Redemption!

I buy used games and i'm proud to admit that. I don't feel sorry or feel like in any way as a consumer I need to "support" developers. You are dealing with major corporations not a small business. As a consumer I look for the best price. I can buy the Darkness for 8 bucks or brand new which should I take? If you don't buy used games great, good for you. Everytime I play a used game I say to myself man.. ..I'm glad I didn't buy this new. If game companies want me to buy new games make good games that are worth to buy! Rockstar did it with me with Red Dead Redemption bought it brand new. That was the first new game I purchased since Assassins Creed II. I usually always buy used but if you make a good game that makes me drool I will occasionally purchase it new. I am just trying to find a good price for my wallet on games that probably aren't even worth the price tag their selling them for.

I would label the wii for the most part as a social console. Meaning it's not a console that is made for gamers but for everyone. Although there are still great incredible games for the gamer too! I think it is a great console and whenever I have a party with my friends and family it's fun to whip out wii sports and do some rolling. I think though you can't deny that it has also released some great games:

Res 4 ( I know this was released on other consoles but the Wii is by the far the most enjoyable experience imo)

Mario Galazy

Mario Kart

Zelda

Metroid Prime 3 (then the trilogy!)

So I think it's more of a social console and look you can't deny the other console have taken what the wii does. Now their doing motion controls, avatars, everything similar to the wii. Nintendo knew what they were doing and you can't deny they probably did one of the best comebacks in history. From gamecube to wii was a huge difference in term of profit for the company. People bash the third parties but that says something about your name when you can survive with games made in house. Granted I eventually purchased a 360 because I wanted to experience some of those great games but I still have mad love for my wii. Let's not forget the virtual console. I don't see why people love to hate on the thing, if you don't like the wii don't play it, but I guess some people need to be jerks.

I thnk this game is over killed on complaints. It's not a great shooter but it is still a good game with a decent story. I think you can pick it up as a dual package with No More HEroes for like 20 bucks now. That is a deal. It seems like the 2nd one will have no relation to the first so if you don' pick it up you wont be loss. But I think for 10 bucks it's worth it. I would say rent it but for 2 bucks more you can own the game so why not buy it. It gets a lot of hate but you do have fun with the game.

no and no. its never too late to buy something (unless its not sold anywhere and impossible to find), but the console will not last another 5 years. garrett_duffman
Well any console out right now wont last 5 years at this point.
