@Gordon_Shock @roosteraxe1 That's true. I forgot about that one. Those guys make awesome games too! Still, I'd have liked to see Human Head's idea finished. Hopefully they keep some of the core concepts at least. Arkane is a pretty awesome studio.

@DepressiveMan @roosteraxe1 Gearbox does make good games. Normally. It just happened that the two examples I used were them dropping the ball on a game that started in someone else's hands (although with Colonial Marines that was only briefly).

@udubdawgz @roosteraxe1 I'm not sure what any of that has to do with Arkane taking over Prey 2. I get that you don't like GTA, but Prey and GTA have next to nothing in common. An open world crime game and a FPS with a cool concept that made poor use of the Doom 3 engine.

This kind of pisses me off. Prey 2 was looking pretty sweet and the concept seemed awesome. Scrapping everything and trying to make another "spiritual successor" to System Shock just bores me. I thought we were finally going to get a Blade Runner-esque city to explore. Now who knows what we're going to get. I'm willing to bet they scrap all the ideas Human Head had though. Generally when a different team gets handed a project like this, they purposefully avoid anything the previous studio had in mind so they can put their own stamp on it. This also usually means we end up with another dissapointing offerring in the vein of Duke Nukem Forever and Aliens CM. Of course, it's too early to write this one off, but I've already lost interest.

Looks like it's time to charge up my headset finally. Been awhile. Since Borderlands 2 in fact. I already had this preordered for the single player, but I might actually spend more time online for a change. This sounds awesome no matter how you play it!

@biggnol908 That's because every week there's some new story about Microsoft doing something else ridiculous, making some ludicris claim about their new console, or changing their stance about some policy or another after finding out they're going to lose business because of it. Sony doesn't have constant news and announcements about PS4. They've told us what we need to know. People were cool with it and that's that. They don't have to do one massive PR cover-up after another because they've listened to their customers right outta the gate. Microsoft clearly has no idea what their customers want, or they wouldn't have to change all the features they told us we needed. A little research and product testing go a long way. I can't fathom why a company would think it's okay to simply tell people this is what they want and if they don't like it, that's too damn bad. This isn't fanboyism (although I'm defintitely a Sony fan after getting hosed by MS so many times), it's good business. In order to keep your customers happy, you give them what they want. If you are going to try new things, you find a way to convince them they want it. You don't tell them that's what they're getting and insult them if the don't like it. I have never, nor will I ever, want to buy something because I'm bullied into it by the company selling it.

@Juon408 Four RRODed 360s have taught me that lesson well. I definitely don't trust any new system at first run. I will now always wait for a later iteration. After they've fixed the hardware and software issues. I'm even more weary of Microsoft consoles as they're 0-2 for hardware design at release.

@biggnol908 @Sun-Tzu-GE And what amazing Microsoft teams are revolutionizing gaming and outshining everyone else? This gen has what? Halo? Gears of War? Fable? Whatever the racing franchise MS owns is? That's about it. Oh, sorry. Alan Wake too. Compared to God of War, Ico/Shadow of the Colossus, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Little Big Planet, Heavy Rain, Beyon: Two Souls, Infamous and a slew of thrid party exclusives. You may not care for Sony's in -house exclusives, but at least they have some. Nearly everything the XBOne has coming out for it will also be available on PS4. Although Microsoft is finally figuring out that exclusives are important, but they're paying third party devs a ton of money for that exclusivity instead of creating in-house studios to make original games. And to be honest, they don't own Epic Games, they just own the rights to Gears of War.

@At3fD @Sun-Tzu-GE Potential sequels to some of the greatest exclusive franchises I've ever played, some of the best in-house developers around, all of the multi-platform games the XBOne has, only one of the restrictions XBOne has (paying for a premium service to play online games) and a great, powerful next gen console? If you consider that nothing to look forward to I think yu have your standards set way too high.

I'm not sure why the ability to switch between gaming and live anything is going to change anything. I can change between gaming and live tv right now. It's called the input button. The technology is already there. Being able to do it on XBOne just means they're taking away memory that could've been used for better games. Of course XBOne's and PS4's processors aren't able to utilize all the available RAM for gaming pruposes anyway. Only about half of it, so that's a moot point. Still MS talking about how amazing the ability to switch between games and entertainment features and acting like it's going to revolutionize anything is pretty retarded. It's fixing a problem that doesn't exist. How many times have you had that pesky problem of having to pick up the tv remote? I do admit that telling the tv to switch to channel 247 would be convenient when the romote is MIA. That's about the only plus to the XBone's setup. Otherwise, how often are you playing a game and thinking to yourself "if only I could jump on Facebook and talk about this game, then I could go for some Netflix. I don't want to turn the game off, but I really don't wanna physically pause the game and change the tv channel, what am I to do?"
