Do you know something I don't?
I know that activision sold every Sierra game publishing rights it owned cheap for another interested publishers (except Brutal legend that got stole). All their games got publishers and NO games were cancelled. Bethesda, Atari, THQ and Ubisoft PAYED Activision to publish the games Activision was selling.
Activision tryed to sell the game Brutal legend to EA, but EA simple went behind Activision back, talked directly to Double Fine and convinced them to screw their rivals(activision).
EA/double fine were the only ones that didnt respect Activision rights. Brutal Legend launch was never in jeperdy Sierra(after merge) representant said that while brutal legend wouldnt be published by activision, the game wasnt cancelled and that activision was simple trying to sell the game for interest publishers.
The mess and lawsuit was EA fault, and the gaming comunnity was ridicusly naive, defending Tim shafer game.I love tim shafer games as anyone else, and Grim fandago was one of the best games I played, but they were wrong for not respecting the rights Activision had.
