If all these "predicitions" come true in regards to the PS4 and Xbox 720, those consoles will cost $500+ unsubsidized. Microsoft and Sony may build the strongest console ever, but they'll be out of business in a month...

2TB's hard drives, 8-16GB of RAM, AMD A10's, AMD 7750's, none of these parts are "cheap".

Wii U is profitable after 1 game sale. Xbox will probably need the entire 2 year contract on Xbox Live + 5 games, and Sony will need 10 games plus a year of PSN+.

I used the remainder of my Gamestop credit to buy eShop cards. These cards are available in amounts of $20, $35, $50 and should be easily found at Gamestops, Best Buys, Targets, & WalMarts etc...

I don't think anyone outside of the internet video game world knows about the Wii U. TV ads are not the only form of marketing; who watches live TV or even commercials for that matter?

Most of all, I think the Wii U is about the worst name they could have given the system. Here in America, we have been trained: Wii 2 = New Console twice as good as the old Wii. Wii U = another Wii addon like the Wii Fit! Not to mention even in the commercials you see people wagging Wii Motes around. Seriously, 99% of America probably thinks the Wii U is just an addon tablet for the Wii. Nice job Nintendo!!

Console gamers are a bunch of hypocrites. They fend off PC Elitists by claiming specs and graphics don't matter, that it's all about gameplay. Nintendo focuses on gameplay improvements on their next console and they go into berzerk overdrive whining and complaining about specs and weak hardware....

It's getting harder and harder to justify not ditching the PS360 and converting to PC + Nintendo. Anyone with a brain has already done so.

The 3rd party Pro Controller U from Interworks supposedly works for both Wii & Wii U games. It also functions as a Wiimote. It's also only $35. I am anxiously awaiting its release on Dec 18th and reviews which will confirm if it really does have this 100% functionallity.

I'm actually holding out for the Interworks Pro Controllers as they claim to work as both Wii U Pro Controller, and a Wii Mote.

Not making the Gamepad work on VC Wii games is a huge mistake by Nintendo.

You are delusional if you think the Xbox/PS4 will utterly destroy the Wii U and still keep a similar pricepoint. And there is ZERO chance they will compete performance wise with "high end 2013 PC". If the XBox/PS4 are as powerful as all the fanboys dream, it's also going to come with a $500+ price tag. Realistically, MS and Sony are going to make MASSIVE sacrifices to keep their systems sub $400. Microsoft will probably subsidize the Xbox: sell it for $400 and force you into a 2 year contract of Xbox live @10/mo.

PC + Wii U is the only logical combo.

The built in Kinect 2.0 in the Xbox will match the costs of the Gamepad, and offer ZERO benefit to real gamers.

Like I said, beleiving the next Xbox & PS4 will be sub $400 without MASSIVE sacrifices is delusional.

I could care less about multiplat releases on consoles as that is what a PC is for.

I'm looking forward to the Xbox and PS4 announcements where everything will be forced into stickies....

As much as I would love that to happen, I seriously doubt it.

Actually this will happen by default, since technology moves forward and you can get much better hardware for less as we move forward

And that is before we consider Nintendo weak hardare strategy and the news about the terrible WiiU CPU and slow ram and mediocre by PC standards GPU etc etc

The system is just a below medium range 2009 PC, while xbox 720/PS4 will be a high end 2013 PC, the difference will be devastating really

Games like FF Agnes is the future in graphics and that will be possbile only on real next gen systems, WiiU would not be able to run anything like that when it can barely surpass current graphics in PS3/360 and cant even touch a 2009 PC
