Your TV only has a single resolution. Any signal fed to your TV that does not match the native resolution will be scaled by the TV to fit the screen. PS3 has games running at resolutions ranging from near SD to some full 1080p. Most games are scaled to output 720p (unless they are full HD already). If you are given the option to output 1080p, all it's doing is scaling the image source, just like what your 1080p TV would have done with the 720p signal anyhow. Now you get to decide if you think the PS3 has a better image scaler than your TV.

Yes free. Valve always releases free DLC for their games (as long as Sony doesn't get in their way like Microsoft did).
The game died before it started. BF3 officially killed it and burried it at E3 2011.

Sadly, the fact that CoD games are so popular is one of my prime sources of proof at the de-evolution of the human race.
Just be glad that we have MW3 around so these people don't start playing BF3.
I am wondering this as well. I actually already own LBP GOTY, but it's the game that my 6 year old son likes playing and I would love to be able to remove the need for him to change out discs (he isn't good at being careful and the less Blu-Rays and games he gets his hands on the better).
Also, I'm not even sure I would miss the DLC that comes with the GOTY edition. Is it even any good?
About time. It's definitely not too early to start on a new platform considering most cell phones releasing this summer are more powerful than the current consoles and their archaic 2005 technology.
I hope nobody pre-orders this game...evernightshade869
That's the wrong attitude. We desperately need CoD MW3 to protect BF3 from, well, CoD players.

So wait, if I go out right now and buy a copy of Portal 2 for the PS3 I also get a copy for the PC to? :D

Technically, yes. You get a Steam activation code that links your PS3 and Steam accounts. You can then play Portal 2 on the PC as long as you're not online with your PS3 version.
This is somewhat incorrect. You can play both games simultaneously, in single player mode (both my son and I did this all week). The only thing you can't do is play multiplayer on both your PS3 and PC at the same time. Perhaps one account can play multiplayer while the other plays single player, but I can't confirm that until the PSN comes back up.
I really think if they pull this game off, it'll be a GOTY contender. It sounds so cool on paper. :)Chaos_Bladez
Go play the original on PC (it will run on just about anything these days). Other than graphics, there is almost nothing that can compete with this on game play.
And calling this game an FPS is a horrible disservice.
No one can read your aqua colored text. No wonder people don't help you.
