sad :(

a girl died the other day that went to school with me. I don't feel like mentioning her name, cuz they were having visitation for her funeral tonite. the actual funeral itself is gonna be tomorrow, and I don't know if I wanna go or not. Her story was kinda sad, and I don't think I can handle seeing the girl in a casket. I'm already stressed out enough.

I get to go to a birthday party tomorrow nite and hopefully nothing will happen....

woo-hoo!

I had 2 mid-terms today, one in Geometry & the other in English. I was able to get one of my scores back.

I made a 94 on my Geometry test!! And that's before the curve that my teacher's giving us. After the curve, I'm gonna have over 100%. And my teacher said I had the highest score in all three of his classes.

woo-hoo! lol. And I might have found out who gave my phone number to about 3 guys since last Friday.

I'll find out more about that last thing tomorrow...

ugh

I have geometry homework tonight.

So far, it's the only class I have homework in. But it might change by then.

I hate the story of Rip Van Winkle. I never knew that it was so friggin' long! I spent the last 2 nights paraphrasing most of the entire story and doing worksheets on it. But the paraphrasing thing was due yesterday and I wasn't done, so all I did was pass it up and my teacher gave me a check. :) (I know because she passed it back.) But I failed the quiz she gave over the story because I had to go to bed early because I've been having really, really bad headaches for about three days straight now.

I believe... my teachers are trying to kill me.

ugh.

I have a horrible headache. And I'm only in my second week of school.

But so far, I've already had two projects due in my media class, a test in English, I have to work on a study guide for a test on Monday in geometry, and I have a test in U.S. History on Tuesday (I think). And I've been carrying one of my biggest purses for a bookbag, and I think my back's out AGAIN!

And not to mention the tons and tons of homework I've had- just this past Tuesday, I had seven hours of homework. And that was with that night's homework on top of Monday night's work, because I was absent on Monday. When I went to bed, I still had one section of my U.S. History work to finish, and I had to finish it at school. But when I got to class on Wednesday, it was the first thing my teacher asked for! I had to turn it in after class so I could get the grade. And then I continued through the day, handing in makeup work to all of my teachers.

OMG, I swear, I think work overload is the cause of my seizures. (not really, but...) :?

first day of school

so today was my first day of school.

GRRR! why can't we start in September like my aunts and my mom used to?! starting in August is bogus, it's always hot and sticky.

but I had US History for 1st block, and I had to find the room. It was at the very end over where we eat lunch, and he told us what lunches we all had. (I have 1st lunch.) Then from 1st block we went to house, and from house we went to second, and so on and so forth.

but here's one thing I hate: WE CAN'T CARRY OUR BACKPACKS ANYMORE!!

seriously. from what I've heard, we have to put them in our lockers, but one of my teachers said that they don't want backpacks on campus period. And the girls can't fake it with huge purses, or anything.

this seriously bums me out because ALL of my classes are on the top floor and my locker is on the lower floor.

why I haven't been on lately.

My home computer crashed and burned a few days ago. So we hooked my laptop up to the internet until we can fix the harddrive. (Or get a new computer. I prefer the first.)

It's been messed up for the past couple of days, and we don't know what happened to it.

I guess it got tired of my mom and sister working it to death.

Sadly, I can't be on here for long because our internet is not working too good with my laptop.

I hate Comcast. :(

Top 8 Morons of 2007

I got this in an email... :D

  • 1. WILL THE REAL DUMMY PLEASE STAND UP? AT&T fired President John Walter after nine months, saying he lacked intellectual leadership. He received a $26 million severance package. Perhaps it's not Walter who's lacking intelligence.
  • 2. WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS: Police in Oakland, CA spent two hours attempting to subdue a gunman who had barricaded himself inside his home. After firing ten tear gas canisters, officers discovered that the man was standing beside them in the police line, shouting, 'Please come out and give yourself up.'
  • 3. WHAT WAS PLAN B? An Illinois man, pretending to have a gun, kidnapped a motorist and forced him to drive to two different automated teller machines, wherein the kidnapper proceeded to withdraw money from his own bank accounts.
  • 4. THE GETAWAY! A man walked into a Topeka, Kansas Kwik Stop and asked for all the money in the cash drawer. Apparently, the take was too small, so he tied up the store clerk and worked the counter himself for three hours until police showed up and grabbed him.
  • 5. DID I SAY THAT? Police in Los Angeles had good luck with a robbery suspect who just couldn't control himself during a lineup. When detectives asked each man in the lineup to repeat the words: 'Give me all your money or I'll shoot,' the man shouted, 'that's not what I said!'
  • 6. ARE WE COMMUNICATING? A man spoke frantically into the phone: 'My wife is pregnant and her contractions are only two minutes apart,' 'Is this her first child?' the doctor asked. 'No,' the man shouted, 'this is her husband!'
  • 7. NOT THE SHARPEST TOOL IN THE SHED! In Modesto, CA, Steven Richard King was arrested for trying to hold up a Bank of America branch without a weapon. King used a thumb and a finger to simulate a gun. Unfortunately, he failed to keep his hand in his pocket. (hellooooooo)!
  • 8. THE GRAND FINALE!!! Last summer, down on Lake Isabella, located in the high desert, an hour east of Bakersfield, CA, some folks, new to boating, were having a problem. No matter how hard they tried, they couldn't get their brand new 22 foot boat, going. It was very sluggish in almost every maneuver, no matter how much power they applied. After about an hour of trying to make it go, they putted into a nearby marina, thinking someone there may be able to tell them what was wrong. A thorough topside check revealed everything in perfect working condition. The engine ran fine, the out-drive went up and down, and the propeller was the correct size and pitch. So, one of the marina guys jumped in the water to check underneath. He came up choking on water, he was laughing so hard.
    NOW REMEMBER...THIS IS TRUE.
Under the boat, still strapped securely in place, was the trailer!

'Being Happy doesn't mean everything's perfect, It just means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections'

I just learned yesterday...

that by August, both my mom and my oldest sister are going to be out of a job.

it's cuz of the Goody's bankruptcy thing; they both worked there along with my uncle and my cousin. but when that happens, they aren't going to have a job (except for my sister; she's a substitute teacher; she was gonna quit.) we aren't going to make a lot of money and I was going to get a job but my mom would probably take the money I make from me so she could pay all of our bills.

grrr...

yayy!

summer vacation's started, and that means:

  • storms caused by hurricanes
  • multiple days with over 80 degree heat
  • sleeping late, and...
  • RIVERBEND!!!

I love Riverbend. It's one of the hottest festivals in the Southeast, and people come from ALL OVER just to be there. You have to buy a pin for $37 to get in. But you get to hear a bunch of musical artists, like ZZ Top, Josh Turner, and God knows who else is gonna be there this year!! It's a bunch of walking and stuff, and at the end of it, you have yourself a nice pin and maybe a T-shirt for a souvenir.

GO RIVERBEND!! 9 NIGHTS, 6 STAGES, CHATTANOOGA, TN!!

proud to be a Tennessean!!
