Hi! My name's Frank, I'm 15 years old, turning 16 in 2 months. Being a teenager, I have some things that I can't understand in life... The reason I created this topic is to have some help to understand a social problem.

It happened some weeks ago, my friends and I were chatting together.. Then someone started to talk about parties that we would do in the future. Then we got to alcohol, then to pot.. Since I was born, my parents kept telling me that smoking/taking drugs is bad. I will probably never smoke cannabis because of that. They said that they would like to try it maybe someday, that it would be fun, blablabla.. Everyone was agree, everyone except me... I told them right away that I wouldn't do it. They immediatly started to say that I don't enjoy life like I should do, that being a teenager I could try it with no problems, that I wasn't cool, etc.

It was that day that I started to ask myself questiosn.. I mean, why is it considered "cool" in our century to smoke pot/abuse of alcohol.. etc? I'm not that type of guy, I will probably get drunk someday anyway, I don't have any problems with that, but why are you cool when you smoke pot? I just don't understand.. Why is the society like this?

Thanks in advance to answer a teenager that has difficulties to understand some mysteries in life o_o

Oh and BTW! I'm french, english is my second language, so if there is some mistakes, don't ask yourself why! XD

By Nintendo I'm referring to Nintendo EAD's titles (Mario, Zelda, those kind of games)

The reason people haven't gotten tired of Mario after 25 years is because the series is always innovating with new, fresh ways to approach a classic concept.

Every Mario game is different and unique in its own way.

COD is just the same engine, tweaked and modified, with new perks to entice people to buy the game.

After a while, the series all just blurs together. Because every game is virtually the same, it becomes hard to distinguish between them.

Now I agree, there are some second-party companies affiliated with Nintendo (Game Freak + Pokemon for example) who rehash to no end.

But the core Nintendo branches always search for new ways to innovate and improve.

Yeah I am and I have to agree.. Sadly lol.. The US is the other favorite in this thing but we don't have any player better than Chicharito... and our terrible coach isn't helping any.

But weren't like 5 of their players found taking illegal substances?.. and if so are they going to get suspended because they could kill them. but I haven't heard of anyone actually getting suspended or anything

Anyway, basically what the thread title asks. I mean I recall everyone here going bonkers over them when they were popular, then when Bieber and other rolled in, seems like everyone stopped caring. Why don't we treat our budding artists with more respect? :(
