My CRT monitor that I've had for 6 years if finally starting to show signs of dying. I have been looking at LCDs to replace it, and I was curious about changing resolutions on them. I have been looking at 1920x1080 monitors, but I only have a HD 4670, so I know I won't be able to play any games at 1080p. It plays the games I play (mostly older games and some RTSs) just fine at 1280x960, my current resolution. My question is, with newer LCDs, if I played at a lower resolution would it just stretch for fill the screen, and thus look bad? Or can you control it so it would be in the right aspect ratio, or only use the amount of pixels for the resolution I want? I would like to build a new computer soon, but have to wait till I have the funds. Thanks for your help.

There is an HD 5750 on amazon for $77 after a $30 MIR. I'm thinking of getting that myself. (from HD 4670) It seems to be around the 4850 in performance, but it has dx11, and could do eyefinity.

I just finished the campaign for Starcraft: Broodwar for the first time. One of my all time favorite old games is Descent 1 and 2. I keep going back to play those every once in a while. There is just something different about being able to move in whatever direction I want, and even fly upside down whenever I feel the need.

I noticed that the DSi has some ways to change the play back of music files. I was wondering if you can change the speed of play back (slow it down) without changing the pitch. This would be really helpful for learning songs on the guitar that are too fast to hear the notes accurately. Can anybody tell me?
