@livedreamplay: Rick & Morty creators had nothing to do w/ it, wtf. Article says it and it' just common knowledge that [as] does the bumps. This headline needs to change.
1. It wasn't a burn by Rick & Morty, it was a burn by adult swim. Your article even states it. Those bumps are from ADULT SWIM. Any [as] view knows that, wtf. Why still give credit to Rick & Morty in the headline?
2. It should read [2011-2015]. S6 was way worse than S7.
No Littlefinger = easier writing for the writers in S8. They can't handle so many, actually interesting subplots and characters specializing in intrigue and mystery.
They just had to "wrap up" Littlefinger, so their little minds could focus just on the Lanni vs Tar/Star war and The Great War w/ the Greyjoys just kinda sprinkled in here and there. I guess it's presumed Tyene Sand is dead and Ellaria will probably just appear for 5 mins in S8.
Dangers I can get over. But paid Early Access in general is just a scam. Look at Long Dark that made like $50m before it finally went retail. I presume they just wanted to keep making money til they decided they no longer wanted to work on the game.
Haven't watched full video yet, so maybe it'll address my question, but a quick thought:
Why is Gone Home getting credit for an Indie rebellion? When other major indie games, even narrative-driven ones (Braid, Limbo, Bastion, To the Moon) or ones considered to be "walking simulators" (Stanley Parable, Journey) came before Gone Home?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a toolbag who doesn't "get" Gone Home. It's my #3 all-time favorite game and will likely never get unseated. But did it really change environmental storytelling or start some sort of rebellion?
