@ZOD777 I think the reason why ppl are dissecting scores so much now is b/c some publishers pay attention to metacritic scores and ppl potentially have their job o, etc.
I'm not saying that reviewers should take aggregate score sites into consideration (especially since metacritic sucks. Gamerankings is way better!). But the concept of the "score" has become more complex and controversial recently for a variety of reasons. That's why fans are now becoming more critical of the reviews.
I'm fine w/ someone thinking this is a 7. What I'm not fine w/ is Maxwell's reasoning/justification. Does a weak story (in his opinion) and no replay really dictate giving a fighter, that otherwise excels at new and deep mechanics, a 7?
@MoronGotMyName ...except those aren't REALLY incentives, at least not to the intelligent consumer - they aren't breaking even if the "incentive" is discounts. An incentive should be something of TRUE benefit, unrelated to the deterrent. Doesn't just make the deterrent less deterring.
@ahhnold72 I'm interested as well. Industry ppl have mentioned benefits, programs, a great system, etc. I'd hope MS has something to offer its consumers to make up for the always-online deterrent.
