Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 wasn't that bad. It's a pretty fantastic game. I'd still give it AAA.

Halo 3 is more lusted over, period.

In halo 3 you had people buying it, not just for a replica helmit, but an, get this, an I PWN t-shirt. Thats what, $60 some people are paying, just for that T-shirt?

Do you see people buying MGS4 headbands, dressing up as solid snake, doing a 5 minute interpritive dance after getting the game? Well until then, its not as hyped as halo.

To all the OMG WII IS GONNA BECOME LIKE +100BILLION SALES/ WII IS GOING TO FAIL SO HARD ITS GOING TO LOSE CONSOLES comments, its nearly impossable to analyze how video game sales will turn out. Basically, here's the job of the video game analyist.

Note how well each company did last gen

Put the number of sold consoles closer together for this gen.

Its hard to tell how gamers will react, After OOT, Majora masks sucked hard in comparison. Killzone was hyped as the end all FPS, and sucked (also proved that gamers are sheep to advertising).

Think budgets have something to do with it? Nintendo had a friggin BARRAGE of ads when the gamecube was launched, Microsoft threw over 4 billion dollars at it, Sony won.

So really, the only thing reliable, is knowing that people that sell consoles kick themselves later. Stop pretending to be the l33t analysts with parabola powas that know teh greatness of all future video games because they are like a prophet.

Edit: holy crap did i write that? 6 months ago i would have just dismissed everyone else as graphics hoes.

Situation 1: Someone you know also owns one. You will probally regret selling your console. Don't go to EB games/gamestop, its a ripoff. Ebay/your friends are good people to sell too.

Situation 2: You know no one else that owns one. If you will not have access to a console after selling it , you will be deprived, no matter how much you think it sucks now. If you must sell it, sell it to a friend.

Situation 3: You Don't have a gamecube, or various older consoles (substitute PS2, PS1, and Xbox for other systems) You won't end up feeling deprived if you sell it and don't have these consoles, but you are a fool to miss out on last gen games for 1/2 the price, N64 games for 1/6 the price, TG-16 and Genesis games for 1/10 the price, and NES games for 1/12 the price. (precisly, assuming games cost $60, instead of $59.99)

Situation 4: You don't have any friends to sell it too. Don't sell it.

The best time to sell it is right before christmas (NO LATER), or as soon as you can sell it to a friend.
