They really need to update the controls. I understand that they want to remain true to the roots in some areas, but remember the old RE games? Most of the enemies were zombies: slow and in small numbers. Even the faster enemies were easier to target because all you had to do was aim and shoot on a 2D plain, you didn't have to aim up or down unless they were right next to you and even then it was simply up or down. Now there are way more enemies, coming from more directions and as in any action game made in the last 5 years you're aiming on a full 3D scope. If they wanted to add tons of fast moving enemies, that's fine; but they need to make the controls able to handle it. It's annoying not to be able to walk backwards and shoot when you've got a guy with a chainsaw right in front of you, because the way it is now you have to decide: hmm...walk backwards or shoot?mysteryman2024Have you played the demo? Anyway capcom can't satisfy everone. Not necessarily talking about you but there are those people that complain that the games aren't survival horror, or not scary, or not like the first games, or too much like typical shooters. And the fact that some people feel like you can't move fast enough just shows how some will complain about anything. This makes the game more suspenseful and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Thus adding more to the game. It would take away from the experience if you could move really fast and yet i bet the people who complain about where the genre's gone won't even appreciate this. Once again i'm not saying that you are definitely one of those people but i could see those people complaing about that.
And like i asked before, have many of you not played resident evil before or re4? There seems to be a lot of talk about things that people who have played at least re4 wouldn't be concerned with. Have a lot fo you not played previous games because you had an xbox and not a playstation or even gamecube? Because this is in the xbox 360 forums
My browser won't allow me to make a link to it but the re5 trailer from gametrailers but if you watch it there seems to be more enemies on the screen. Hopefully these are just parts we have not yet seen from playing or seeing the demo. But maybe they did change it since then and there aren't as many enemies that can be shown on the scree at one time.
I don't know why people would comaplain about the controls. They're better than re4. Have some of you not played re4?
