Piracy can get you games for free but they are not 100% working and dosn't give you any support. Its really bad to download torrents and stuff. Sometimes, they may contain viruses. Sometimes the game won't work. And mainly nowadays, they won't let you play multiplayer too. My friend too downloads game torrents but one time, his PC got damaged while running the game. Best option I suggest is to buy it coz if you got any probs, you can directly contact the support people. Piracy is also a crime. Nowadays, game distributors are tracking IPs which is involved in downloading the illegal copy of the game. I heard of an issue in TPB in which all those who downloaded a Black Ops copy got a message to pay the money from the Activision group.

Guess ATI is really bad at support. I thought that it was the best and cheaper than Nvidia cards. Ok, I'll stick with the GTX 570.

Ok guyz, I understood. So, I should go on with the 570 right? And also, if I'm buying an HD6950, for flashing it, would it require any additional cooling or stuff like that? I think 570 is a better option.

jtcraft

Keep in mind that if you flash a 6950 to a 6970 you are most likely going to void the warranty. So if, for whatever reason, your video card gets messed up and you can't flash it back to the 6950 you won't be able to get the card fixed.

Thanks for the info jtcraft. Infact, I guess Nvidia is better than ATI. I dont want to mess up with the card after buying it and after all that replies, Nvidia is the one with lesser problems than ATI. I recently checked the performances by the three cards on youtube, anandtech and other sites. I found out that in most, 6970 has a slighter lead on the 570. But the 6970 is a bit above my prices and Nvidia is just perfect.

Hi guys,

I thought of buying a new graphics card and found some but in a dialemma. My picks were the GTX 570 and HD 6970 which are near to Rs. 20,000. So, I'm not sure which one's better and I think the GTX is quite the better one. So please tell me which one to choose. If ATI is better, I heard that the HD 6950 can be flashed into an HD 6970. So, if this will improve the performance of the HD 6950, then it's better to buy it. Also, if there's card better than these around the same price, please tell me about it.

Steam Content Server Stats can give you an idea of how busy the server you are connecting to is, and show you good options.

In the client, if you go to File > Settings > Downloads + Cloud, there is an option to change download region. You can use that to change to a region the stats page shows you is less busy. Most of the time I keep it at a region close to where I live, but during sales and other very busy times, I change that region a lot, since it makes a difference for download speeds.

Thanks. But I tried changing the servers several times but still, it shows 'server too busy to handle your request.' Any other option to fix this?

Hi friends,

Recently, my friend bought COD Black Ops from Steam. He didn't want to download the game at that time so he skipped somehow and later tried to download it. He also bought Mass Effect 2 and I dont know but a few more games. He bought Half Life 2 a long time ago. So, when he tried to download Black Ops again by clicking the install button, after a few time, steam shows an error saying server is too busy. We tried several times but couldn't download it. Same way, we couldn't download ME2 and some other games but Half Life 2 and some other games could be downloaded. I want to know whether there is any simple solution to fix this problem.

Thanks GTR12. But I made it bootable using cmd window and worked like a charm. I installed Windows 7 and it runs fine. Thanks for your help. Also, I need to know whether I can still use the flash drive for other purposes too like backing up files and deleting the win7 setup from it.
