Well the model airplane part was really for the optimization of all of the software, and over- clocking and bios commands...I don't want to be bothered with all of that. You are right though, physically building a PC nowadays is easy as pie. Everything basically does just connect together pretty easily. That's until you get to water cooling systems and things like that, which can become necessary when you want to max out the latest system hog with every bell and whistle you can think of. There are just some people (like myself) that do not want to do all of that. Mainly because we are not sure if we are doing something correctly, that's how i feel anyway. I'd rather have a professional do the hard stuff, and let me worry about the videocard.
Yes it absolutely is, however a good gaming rig is an intricate model airplane whereas a modular console would be more like Legos. Simplified. I myself could build a gaming rig on my own. I have the know how, just not the time nor the money. Also, optimizing a gaming PC is something I know absolutely nothing about. I can build the thing, and that's about it.
If this machine is what I think it is, which is a modular gaming console, then they just need to market it as that. A future proof PS4. Now I'm not sure that's what this is, but it's sounding like it.
All of that is true. "The only way that they could compete is make a console that could be upgraded, i.e. a modular system"... WHY hasn't this been done yet? It would sell. I've had this idea in my head for a while now. I'm sure many others have as well. I'd buy that.
Ok, will a serious gaming rig be required to get the best use out of this thing? I'm confused on what EXACTLY this thing is? Or will it be a standalone "console"? I guess my question is....Is it a PC console that's upgradable or what? If that's the case count me in (if the price is right). If all I have to worry about is upgrading the video card every few years I'd be happy with that.
It's absolutely possible to make a console as powerful as the most current PC gaming specs....It just isn't very cost effective, or smart to do so. The thing would cost over a thousand bucks at retail, I'd imagine maybe even more.
With 4 guys at the party? Holy lord, I hope it was on 4 separate occasions. Good story though. On topic, I honestly just chalk it up to humans just like acting like a-holes. Especially when they're anonymous. One thing I like from, well any site's comment section, is a filter for the run-on paragraphs that the a-holes seem to type up EVERY TIME. You know the ones filled with internet jargon, completely void of any punctuation whatsoever, and w0rD$ sPe113D l1k3 tHi$.
