School Is Starting Again

I have to go to school this up coming Monday. I guess I'll have to get use to that schedual again. I won't be able to play as much games as usual which is probably good considering I play a lot. I just hope I have enough time to play some of the great games coming out, like Bio Shock, Crysis, Tabula Rasa, and pretty much all the games in my most anticipated game list. I think school will be somewhat fun though. At least the first few weeks. I'll get to see some friends I haven't seen in awhile and I'm going to high school this year. In September I'll be able to finally drive, that will be awesome. I'll also be playing on the football team which is fun. We've had practice and stuff but I'm looking forward to our first game. We don't have many linemen on our team so I'll be playing the entire game. Thats good and bad, considering I'll be extremely tired by the end, but I'll get to play a lot. Well anyway I posted this up so everyone knows I might not be on gamespot as much after Monday. I still plan to get on, just not as frequently.

My Most Anticipated Game of the Month #2

And the winner is...

drum roll*

Bio Shock

BioShock for PC - BioShock PC Game - BioShock Computer Game

I think the reason this has changed to my most anticipated game is that i just relized that it's about to be release. Aug. 21st,that's like that's like 14 days away. The game looks very fun although somewhat freaky. I don't know if it's just me but the atmosphere of this game seems very freaky. Big Daddy looks like he will be really fun to fight. The whole game just looks very fun. It doesn't seem very linear. It gives you tons of choices to defeat your enemy. Bio Shock just looks like a great game. I can't wait for it. I'll probably get it for my birthday (Sept. 5th), but I may buy it when it comes out. Either way it should be able to hold me over until Crysis. Just so you know I am still highly anticipating Crysis. 96 more days til it'sreleased. It's just going to take longer for it to come out than Bio Shock. I just realized how close Bio Shock is and thats what got me excited.

Other Games I'm Anticipating

1.Crysis

2.World in Conflict

3.Tabula Rasa

4.Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts

5.Call of Duty 4

6.Spore

What I've Been Playing Week #2

Wow I just realized It's Saturday. That's pretty sad considering it is 9:30pm right now. Well if you checked my blog last week I wrote something called what I've been playing and I said I might consider doing it weekly well I'm doing it this week so I'm going to try to keep it going. I'm also going to try to include what I'm looking forward to this month in this but I will also write a more detailed one every month. Basically I'll just include a small list of games I'm looking foraward to playing at the bottom. Ok now lets get into the games I've been playing.

Ok so this week I played a good bit of World of Warcraft(looks like I'm not quiting), but I'll go into that last. I also played some of the World in Conflict Beta, some F.E.A.R.:Combat, Counter Strike: Source,Black & White, Battlefield 2, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Yes I know, I played a lot of games again this week but you can expect less once school starts for me.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl for PC - S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl PC Game - S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Computer Game

First game I'll go into is S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Pretty much all I played was the multiplayer. If you check on the forums you probably know there was a gamespot game night recently(http://www.gamespot.com/pages/unions/read_article.php?topic_id=25819298&union_id=12388 Well I practiced about an hour or 2 for that then I played at gamespot game night. Even though the game's multiplayer isn't very good I had a lot of fun. I met some new people and got to pump up some gamespot editors with lead (epecially aaron). So I had a lot of fun with that. I also got the bonty hunter emlem which was cool. I want to give a shout out to phillyfragmaster(mismajor99). I had a good game with phillyfragmaster basically it was me and him battling for 1st place. There wasn't much competition considering not many people had played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. multiplayer. I had a lot of fun playing with eveyone at game night and I hope to see all who attended it at another one.

World in Conflict for PC - World in Conflict PC Game - World in Conflict Computer Game

The next game I'll go into is World in Conflict. The beta ended sadly so I didn't have a whole lot of time to play it, but in my time of playing I got to see 3 nukes go off at once and the usual crazyness of all the other tactical aids and artillery. Not much I can say about it though since I didn't play it much. I'm looking forward to this game a lot though. Can't wait for it to be released.

Battlefield 2 for PC - Battlefield 2 PC Game - Battlefield 2 Computer Game

I also played some Battlefield 2. Not much though. I went up in rank but thats about it. Not much to say on this one, sorry.

Counter-Strike: Source for PC - Counter-Strike: Source PC Game - Counter-Strike: Source Computer Game

I also surprisingly played some CS:S. I had some duels in my clan and went up in rank.I also just played around with some friends. It was pretty fun. We played the gun game a lot. We had fun. I might be playing that game some more.

F.E.A.R. Combat for PC - F.E.A.R. Combat PC Game - F.E.A.R. Combat Computer Game

I've been playing some F.E.A.R. Combat too this week. It's pretty fun. It's not the greatist but it's ok. I'm practicing for the bounty hunter grudge match. Today is the second day of my practicing and I'm already making 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places against other players. Hopefully I when the bounty hunter grudge match but if I don't It'll be ok. I still had fun at game night. So pretty much I'm not playing F.E.A.R Combat because I like the game but because I want to win. Not a bad game though.

Black & White for PC - Black & White PC Game - Black & White Computer Game

This is the game I played this week that I just about never really finished but wished I did so now I'm going to replay it. The game is Black & White. I didn't get into too much of it yet because I just started but it's pretty fun. It's moving pretty slow right now though because I don't have many things I can do yet but this game is always fun. Being a god is fun. If you haven't tried this game out you need to try it. You can probably find it for less than $20 somewhere and doesn't take much of a pc to run. I'll have more on that next week probably.

World of Warcraft for PC - World of Warcraft PC Game - World of Warcraft Computer Game

I guess I'm down to World of Warcraft now. Well two things got me back into WoW.

  1. My friends are starting to play again
  2. Blizzcon made me excited about WoW

Yeah that's pretty much what got me back in. A friend that hasn't played in awhile joined my server and we both created new characters, and some other people that have just continued to play more. Also the new expansion annoncement has made me want to get to lvl 70, so I'm trying to work my way up there. I just hope it doesn't get boring after lvl 40 like it did last time for me. Hopefully I'll stick to it and get up to 70. I'm not going to play as much as some of my friends play it but I plan to play a little more.

So thats what I've been playing this week. Once again feel free to comment your opinions, comments, advice, and maybe even what you've been playing this week. Check back next week for week 3 of what I've been playing.

My Most Anticipated Games

  1. Crysis
  2. Bioshock
  3. World in Conflict
  4. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
  5. Tabula Rasa

Crysis for PC - Crysis PC Game - Crysis Computer Game

1st Impressions on starcraft 2 single player campaign

I really like where Blizzard is going with Starcraft 2. It looks much more interesting than what they showed at E3. I guess they saved all the really cool stuff for blizzcon. At first Starcraft 2 looked like starcraft 1 with improved graphics. Now it looks like a much improved sequel to starcraft. Being able to walk around your ship and interact with characters seems to improve the story and character depth. When starcraft 2 was first annonced I was somewhat excited. I saw some gameplay but it really just looked like starcrat 1 with improved graphics and I didn't really want it that bad, but what was shown at blizzcon has gotten me hyped about this game and I definately plan to purchase it.

Gamespot Game Night

Gamespot Game Night was really fun. We played S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:Shadow of Chernobal from 10:00pm-1:00am(eastern time). I was pretty tired today considering I had to wake up at 6:30 to go to football practice but I slowing woke up. I practiced S.T.A.L.K.E.R. a lot before game night hoping to become a bounty hunter and that practice paid off, so I'm pretty excited about that. I look forward to the next game night and hope it's just as fun.

The Game I'm Most Looking Forward to This Month

Crysis

This game looks absolutely amazing, and when I say it looks amazing I don't only mean the graphics but the gameplay too. The suit that it gives you lets you have so many options on how you play the game. It just looks amazing. I've also purchased my new computer so I can play this. It looks like it's going to be great. I can't wait to play it.

Other games I'm looking forward to:

  • World in Conflict
  • Bio Shock
  • Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

What I'm Playing Week 1

Ok so I just decided to start this thing on my blog every week telling everyone what I've been playing this week and my experiences with the games.

OK so this week I've been playing Medieval 2: Total War, Battlefield 2, Titan Quest, Company of Heroes, and a little bit of WoW and the World in Conflict Beta. I guess I'll start with Medieval 2.

Medieval II: Total War for PC - Medieval II: Total War PC Game - Medieval II: Total War Computer Game

So I got back into playing Medieval 2 now. I use to play it a whole lot but when i got my new comuter I guess I kinda forgot about it, but anyways I installed it and have been having a lot of fun. I started to grand campaigns for Venice and England. When I was playing as Venice started just capturing some regions around me and I went on a crusade with a massive army from Venice to Jerusalem, this was very fun because I captured every region in my path. After capturing Jerusalem I captured some regions around there and some other places. Then somehow I got caught up in a big fight back at Venice with the Holy Roman Empire. They pretty much attacked me multiple times for no reason. So I captured some of there cities and then I got a warning that if I attacked them again I would be excommunicated, the next turn they let out a massive attack on my capital city. The odds were against me but I held them off, although there was the loss of my best generals and many other units. After that I was pretty pissed so I ignored the warning of being excommunicated and attacked them some more. The result: all Christian empires hate me and all other empires that don't like Christian empires because I happen to also be a Christian empire. I fought off a lot of enemies took a lot of cities and lost none of mine, but the pressure of being attacked over and over again got annoying so I started the English campaing. Not much has gone on there so far except that I got excommunicated then reconciled and will probably get excommunicated again for refusing to end my alliance with a non-Christian nation. So yeah the games been really fun. It's fun to be in control of a lot of guys and throw them at other guys and watch them fight. The battles are really fun. You feel really good when you get the entire enemy's army running from you and you chase them down with your calvery take them out one by one.

Battlefield 2 for PC - Battlefield 2 PC Game - Battlefield 2 Computer GameBattlefield 2: Armored Fury for PC - Battlefield 2: Armored Fury PC Game - Battlefield 2: Armored Fury Computer GameBattlefield 2: Euro Force for PC - Battlefield 2: Euro Force PC Game - Battlefield 2: Euro Force Computer Game

So next Bf2. Well I've been playing some Bf2 recently. I just bought the booster packs they're pretty fun. I went up in a rank once so that was cool. I also sniped someone that was barely in my line of sight and very far away, that was very satisfying along with the snipe from about a yard away when I popped out around the corner. Battlefield has always been so fun, and when the really cool things happen you know they weren't planned like something like Call of Duty. It's very satisfying. I'm not saying it's a bad game I personally love Call of Duty and am extremely looking forward to the 4th one but most of the crazy cool stuff that happens in it is planned out. I just really enjoy the Battlefield games. I've also been playing the Project Reality mod. I reccomend it to everyone who enjoys good teamplay where squads and the commander actually work together. It's very fun when you have a good commander and a lot of good squads on your team. http://www.realitymod.com/

Titan Quest: Immortal Throne for PC - Titan Quest: Immortal Throne PC Game - Titan Quest: Immortal Throne Computer Game

Now for Titan Quest. Well I've been playing Titan Quest Immortal Throne some. I started a new guy to get the dream mastery ability which is pretty cool. I usually play this game with my younger brother. He enjoys it a lot and plays it a lot more than me. He's actually very good at it. It's always fun to play games with him. I thnk I'm about lvl 15 now, thats all for titan quest.

Company of Heroes for PC - Company of Heroes PC Game - Company of Heroes Computer Game

Now for Company of Heroes. All I've really played in the game this week is the single player campaign. I usually just play multiplayer but I wanted to replay the single player with DX10. It looks really good, and as always the gameplay is great.

World in Conflict for PC - World in Conflict PC Game - World in Conflict Computer GameWorld of Warcraft for PC - World of Warcraft PC Game - World of Warcraft Computer GameWorld of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade for PC - World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade PC Game - World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Computer Game

So now I guess I'll start talking about WoW and the WiC beta. Well I played with my alt charachter in WoW. Just lvled him up twice cause I only played like an 45mins so now he's at lvl 12 , but I've started to get bored with WoW. I'm thinking about quitting, but I kinda want to get back into it so I'll give it another month. The World in Conflict beta has been great. I just got it yesterday so I only played the the tutorial and 2 maps on multiplayer. It's very fun and looks awesome, especially with DX10. I'm really looking forward to this game. I'll probably buy the collectors edition. If you didn't know this it actually contains a real peice of the Berlin Wall which I think is just awesome. I'm sure It's probably just a pebble but still it's a really cool idea.

Well now I'm at the end of my "What I'm Playing" for this week. I'm not really sure if I'll do this every week but it's pretty fun so I might. Just check back next week, and feel free to comment. If I end up doing this regularly it'll probably be on Saturdays.

Review on E3

I enjoyed E3 very much this year. All the confrences were very fun to watch. Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony all had interesting things to show. Sadly I didn't get to see everything live because I was on vacation and there was no wi-fi where I traveled to, but I just streamed everything. I did get back home to see the end of E3 live with gamespot and I have to say rock band looks amazing. It makes me want to buy an xbox360 so bad. I don't have the money right now though but I plan on get one sometime. Some of the highlights of E3 for me were Crysis(of course), Call of Duty 4(looks amazing.), Killzone 2,all of the orange box stuff, starcraft 2, Mass Effect, UT3, World in Conflict, BioShock, Age of Conan, and also some of the stuff nintendo had to show. I've never been a big fan of nintendo but they had some cool stuff to get my family into gaming. All the things they had to show seemed like they would be fun for my entire family. The zapper seemed kinda cheesy though. The second game they showed for it (I forgot what it was called but something about fighting terrorist) was an arcade game. I've played it before and it's not that fun. It's kinda fun for a little bit but after awhile it gets boring but maybe they'll come up with some better ideas for the zapper. The wii wheel seemed kinda pointless, i'll just hold the controler on it's side. Anyways E3 was really cool. Can't wait til next year. Maybe I'll finaly get the press confrence emblems then.
