casuals will also consult the staff in the store they purchase the game, so peoples opinion can easily influence sales.

to be honest, i think the ps3 will sell more because it is the only decent game available to buy. but then again, there are alot more 360's around so i could be wrong.

i think GTA is a PS franchise only because in previous generations the PS was far better then the rest of the competition and easily dominated the market. this time around, its alot tighter for the GTA-king, sony could quickly lose their image as the GTA console

the drums alone come out next year

the way i see it, it will almost be worth your while to buy the complete package. im in australia and rock band costs 200AUD, when the game comes out it will cost me around 80AUD. when the drums alone come out they will probably charge 80 again. so its costing me 160 for the drums. or i could pay an extra 40 bucks and get the guitar, mic and usb hub.

in USD, im assuming its about 60 dollars each, so you saving forty for only having the drums.

but if thats all you want, you might as well just get them

and you have to remember rock band has to pick songs with good guitar,bass,drums and vocals. all GH needs is songs with a good riff, thats why you get songs like institutionalised.

and i reckon the track list is much better than GH, and i wont be buying any DLC

developing a console with a 10 year life span is just stupid, the advancements in technoogy will leave it behind and ps3 owners will be stuck with their "longterm investment" with nothing to play.

put it this way, go back to 1997. if you made the best possible console you could with the most advanced technology available at the time, how do you think it would stack up today. you would have golden eye and half life quality graphics. no one would want to buy it and no developers would bother investing in development for it. there is no way a console will last 10 years.
