itll be 20 atleast.

and no, jumping from dual to quad for games makes little difference. e7300 @3ghz is very similar to q6600. you can expect similar results in all games. i could give another example with shogun 2 before/after. before i could have all on high now i can have all max with all dx11 effects and 8x aa and still have more fps than i did before with no graphics card change.

its fine, as in, it will all work, but i could save you about $900 for maybe 5% less performance in games.

remember with pc hardware you get diminishing returns after a certain point.

youll notice a considerable boost in games with the 2500k, especially when you overclock it. probably in the region of 20 extra fps in most games.

Proof?

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/charts/desktop-cpu-charts-2010/3DMark-Vantage-GPU-Performance,2417.html

tick the 2500k and the q6600 then scroll down and click compare

2500k beats q6600 by almost 100% in most tests without even being overclocked. 248fps in left 4 dead 2 vs 138fps for the q6600.

the gain from new ram and mobo wont be much but the cpu change will make a big difference. i know i went from e7300 to 2500k at 4.5ghz and for example in skyrim went from playing comfortably in medium/high to having everything on max with loads of mods and ini tweaks and still having better performance than i had before.

my opinion are that its buttons are in a horrible position, the mx518/g400 arrangement is much better.

Lox_Cropek

I just bought the G400 instead of the G300 by the way. Great mouse so far. Never knew a gaming mouse could be so much better than my Logitech M100.

glad your pleased

5400 is really crappy. if you have enough ram then there wont be much file swapping during the game (but almost always some), but this varies game to game and some games will be drastically effected by hard drive performance, such as mmo's where it is not possible to load every item of equipment in the game into ram, new textures, equipment, models etc will load from the hard drive, and make you stutter.

So I haven't been a gamer the past several years, but with some upcoming free time, I want to get the new Diablo to kill some time. Problem is, all I have is a crappy laptop (never use it either). So, I'm looking to purchase a PC that will be able to run the game on max settings. Don't really care about future games to be honest, just this and then Internet runs will be it. Looking to spend no more than 1k if I can help it. Now does anyone know of 'premade' pc's that will be able to accomplish this? Or worst case scenario, maybe a website that puts together custom pc's for a fee. Not sure if new egg does that. If that's the case, I would literally need to know everything that I would need to purchase haha. Everything. I built a gaming computer once upon a time, but I've lost touch in new technology and not even bothering to attempt it myself. Sorry, a mouthful I know, but I know this is the best place to ask. If I left anything out let me know. Thanks guys.cameronc09

Im trying to get Diablo 3 this weekend, and lets just say, my computer aint the best. This is Diablo 3's requirements: Hard Drive Space: 12 GB available HD space Operating System: Windows® XP/Vista/7 (latest service packs) with DX 9.0c - Mac® OS X 10.6.8, 10.7.x or newer Processor: Intel Pentium® D 2.8 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ - MAC Mac® OS X 10.6.8, 10.7.x or newerRAM1 GB RAM (XP), 1.5 GB (Vista/7) - MAC 2 GB RAM Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800 GT or ATI Radeon X1950 Pro or better - MAC NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT or ATI Radeon HD 2600 or better My issue is I did a test for the minimum requirements, my computer passed except for my processor. It wants a Intel Pentium® D 2.8 GHz BUT, I have a Intel Pentium® 4 CPU 2.8 GHz. Can I still run it?Rousie14
no offense but if you dont know much about pc's you probably dont know much about diablo, and have just fallen for the hundreds of millions spent of advertising, it is a very poor, immoral game. torchlight 2 is better. it is immoral because they oretty much ruined it, you cannot play anything unless you are online all the time, even single player. because of this you have to queue just to play single player. the reason you must ve online is because they want to protect against people hacking in single player and then selling in auction for real money. the reason they care about this is because everytyhing sold or brought on the auction is taxed. this game could have been released in 2010 but they decided to spend 2 years creating this auction system to profit constantly from people who become addicted to their game, which is designed to addict people.

please watch total biscuits latest (16th may) mailbox on youtube before you go and support these scumbags.

also goto meta critic and read peoples reviews. the game currntly has a score from the USERS (ie people who have no incentive to be dishonest) of 3.5. even this is bumped up by employees of blizzard rating 10/10 and speaking like it is perfect and all the problems everyone else has arent true.
