um, well the mobo is ok, atleast it supports ddr3. you wouldnt lose any performance by buying a mobo that cheap, just some functionality and slots etc. but if you can deal with that then its fine. it just doesnt have any upgradability other than putting a graphics card in their.

assuming you get a semi decent cpu and 4 gigs of 1333 ram then you would actually be able to play most pc games fine, just dont expect to be playing bf3 very well or the very newest games. call of duty though and older games wouldnt be too bad.

if you dont want to overclock you shouldnt be looking at a 2500k, you should just be looking for a 2500.

the 2500k is identical to the 2500, except it can be overclocked. thats why its more expensive. from 3.3ghz to 4.5 ghz is alot of gain from overclocking, especially across 4 cores. you can probably get 25% extra performance just from overclocking quite easily.

the benchmarks you see for the 2500k are probably at stock speeds, not overclocked, which is why it doesnt seem like a good deal.

i would also spend £3 on some new thermal paste for the cpu, its probably gone dry.

well. spend £800 on a new pc or take your finger out of your ass and dry and fix it. it may cost you less than £5 to fix.

Skyrim with all the high texture mods? If so, 7970 or GTX680

GTR12
nah i run skyrim with all the texture mods perfectly fine on a gtx 460. a good processor has just as big an impact as a good graphics card these days, so i say go for balance, like a 2500k and gtx560 or something.

an hour should be fine. it only matters if it crashes while your doing something, if it does then scale the overclock back a bit.

dont try and push to 4ghz, thats retarded. if it fails he wouldnt know what to do. but also the person saying it is rocket science is equally stupid.

if you want to do it, just nudge up the multiplier in bios, and test it after each nudge (ie 100mhz increment) to see if its stable (ie can play games for long periods with no crashing).

different motherboard manufacturers call these bios functions different things, so it may say something else but smilar.

ive nothing more really to add other than i would rather just 1 good graphics card than 2 mediocre ones. xfire can be a hassle and generates more heat, uses more power, and is an ineffecient way to improve performance.

you could probably save a few bucks going for a gigabyte z68 board instead with exactly the same functionality, and probably a few more buying any other brand of ram, again a few more on your psu as even a top spec card with a 2500k wouldnt trouble a psu of similar quality just a bit cheaper. i have no idea what the cost is of that monitor but again, if youre prepared to get something a little cheaper but the same size, i doubt very much you'd notice. i wouldnt spend more than £120 on a 22 inch monitor, and i play fps games very competatively. you could also save about £10 on your case and not risk any functionality at all, maybe it will just look a bit cheaper. all these little trimmings could perhaps afford you a better graphics card or a little ssd to put windows on, which would make a big difference in the general feeling of your pc.

good choice. if you want to save money, save it on the case and mobo, and only buy the cheap ram of the speed you desire (1600mhz is nice price performance point atm).

[QUOTE="seercirra"]

just google "razor mouse problems" before you go ahead and buy one. the build quality is very poor.

i reccomend logitech g400, g500, mx518 if you can get one.

Really? I've had mine for over a year.

but my mx518 is still going strong in its sixth.
