ok, i have 4 dx 10 games: bioshock, company of heroes, crysis and crysis warhead. whenever i run any of them in dx 10 the screen goes messed up and the mouse goes out of alinement, running them in dx 9 fixes the problem but i have a fairly decent card (4870 512) and would like to run them to my cards abilities.

i have latest drivers and dx 10 is fully updated through vista

heres a pic of what im talking about

notice im apparently pressing yes with my mouse to the bottom right and the left side of the screen looking rather warped. so you guys got any idea what to fix, im pretty sure its a software problem but unfortuantly cause its built into vista i cant just go and redownload dx10

I hardly see anyone mentioning Medieval II: Total War.

Juggernaut140

I'm so bad at this game

haha same, i wanna like it cause theres so much awsome stuff (graphics being one) about it but im just so bad i swear unless im completely outnumbering another team like 2:1 i lose

BTW your talking this gen so its irrelivent but the most underated graphics i can think of are conker live and reloaded, i swear it looks about as good as an average 360 game,

but this gen maybe REZ HD i love that game or soul calibur 4

simple answer: GTX 280

Slightly longer answer: 9800GX2 can have a nasty case of microstuttering at times so while average frames may be similar to the 280 the minimums on it will be significantly lower. Although you might wanna wait for the 295 even if you still want the 280 it will lower the price of it when it comes out

The guy who voiced Jansen Freidh in Lost Odyssey, those that played the game would know the voice pretty much made the character. I usually opt for the japanese voice overs when given the chance but after watching a cutscene i knew i had to put it on English. I also heard that he does knuckles in the sonic games.

I agree completely, and for that matter that game is severely underrated, although not the best game in any particular category its much more then the sum of its parts.

Does the Wii have HD outputs?

savagetwinkie

It can do 480p which is know to be HD.

no its progressive scan, basicly instead of drawing odd number lines then even(interlaced), it draws them all, but it is not hd... HD is the resolution 720i/p are both hd, and 1080i/p same deal

wouldnt 720i technically be ED because its only drawing half the lines at a time?

turn based strategy? you could try one of the total war games, medieval 2 being my favourite cause its got a mix of both RTS and TBS and would ease you in, or maybe civ4?

Looks like someone hasn't played Eternal Darkness. Go buy a Gamecube and a copy now!BioShockOwnz

That's what I need to do.

I respect a queens of the stone age fans opinion and yeah silicon knights had quite a few good games

Well game performance isn't absolutely terrible but its not up to snuff for a 4870, like fallout 3 cant run on high settings at my native res 1080p or even at much lower like 720p and from what ive read in benchamarks it should be able to run max at even a higher res. (1920x1200).

I checked the bus interface in techpower GPU-Z and in catalyst control center and both say PCI-E 2.0 x16 @ x1 2.0.

hmm i cant seem to see any pci-e settings in the cmos, just stuff on overclocking, "advanced features", turning on and off peripherals and changing voltage. Also ive been having an odd problem where the cards fan kicks in 3 times when i power it up and no image shows and i have to hit the reset button for anything to happen.
