SPECIAL BLOG: I am real; evidence inside

Hello everyone.  I'm sergioalb64, and I was thinking a few days ago that the possibility of people lying about themselves is certainly out there.  I want to prove to you that I'm real and to let you know who I am with more detail.

My name is Sergio Gonzalez, a 19 year old from Mexico currently studying videogame design in California.  I don't have many pictures of myself, but here's one that I used for my GAM101 design course.

That's me and my twin brother Albert.  Just kidding, it's a mirror :)

As you can see, I use glasses; I have poor vision, and actually, I'm left-eye blinded.

I'm a huge, HUGE DS fan.  Here are a few pics of my collection, and it is a real collection; everything's mine, nothing is borrowed, and I paid for everything.

The Tower of Divine Sacredness

I don't have any pets, and I live with my mom, sister, and stepfather.

I don't know what else to tell you, but I hope this has proven my real self and given you a better idea of who I am.  If you have any questions, post them here and I'll answer them.

Green flowers?

So one day I went to Home Depot, and as I was browsing their flowers section, with those flower seeds in bags, I noticed that I couldn't find any green flowers.  'What's up with that?', I thought.

Well, maybe it doesn't make much sense, grass being green and all, but green flowers should be more popular.  Take a look at this great shot of awesome-looking green flowers:

I will make sure I plant these at home...if I can find them.

Interesting left-handed facts

First of all, let me tell you; I'm left-handed.  Here are some interesting facts straight from Wikipedia:

-Only 8 to 15 % of the adult population is left-handed.
-Left-handedness is more common in males than females.
-In many cultures, the word 'left' or some variation of it means something bad or evil.
-Some tools, such as scissors, knives, and rulers, aren't left-handed-friendly (I hadn't noticed any problems before though)
-Until the latter part of the twentieth Century, Roman Catholic nuns in the US would punish children if they attempted to write with their left hand by snapping their left hand with a ruler (ouch).
-International Left-handed Day: August 13
-In many parts of the world, such as Indonesia, it is imolite to accept gifts or eat with the left hand.

Here's a big one:

Shigeru Miyamoto is left-handed, and so is Link from the Legend of Zelda.

Any of you left-handed?  Me, my cousin Jorge, and his mom are :)

Pictures!

Hey everybody!  How are you?  I'm fine; still drowning in homework, but fine nonetheless.

But I've been learning a lot, especially about design.  I'm now using this program called Adobe Illustrator and it can do a lot of awesome things!  I'll keep posting whatever good designs I do, and to begin, I will show you a piece I did, tracing an image from the internet.  This will become a window decal (sticker) very soon!

And the other day I found this AWESOME TO THE MAX picture:

DS is so successful that its market has expanded to the animal kingdom!  Great job, Nintendo!

So yeah, I'll post blogs here and there.  I'm currently done with 99.1% of Twilight Princess, so I'm ALMOST done!

Take care!

So what's your favorite game series?  The Mario games?  Mega-Man?  Castlevania?  Share your thoughts :)

What's your favorite...videogame song?

Wow; it's been a while without a 'What's your Favorite' blog, eh?  Well they're back!

Today I ask; what's your favorite videogame soundtrack, or, if you can be more specific, your favorite videogame song?  Personally, I love the music in the Zelda series.  I believe Ocarina of Time has the best game music, but surprisingly, my favorite videogame song first appeared in Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES); it's the Hyrule Castle Theme (click link to listen).  It's amazing; the game starts, the story unfolds, and Zelda is in trouble; you enter the castle and this amazing musical composition is thrown at you; amazing stuff.

What about you?  What game series would you say has the best game music?  What game in particular?  Any specific song?

I have LOADS, and I mean LOADS of homework; LOADS.  I just want to update you all; I AM alive, but I'm dead inside, or something like that.

Anyways, I said I was going to share with you my TOP GAMES OF 2006, but I haven't done it yet; I will, however, tell you my top 10 games of the year, and I will complete the full list sometime later...when I finish everything...probably next...month.

06. Star Fox Command

03. Elite Beat Agents

01. GAME OF THE YEAR - CLUBHOUSE GAMES

This is not based on last year's releases, but rather, on the games that I played during 2006.  And yes, they are all DS games :)

I'll leave you with a picture of my cousin/nephew Eden and I'll start the first ton of homework.  Bye!

I'm back from Mexico!

Just letting you all know that I'm back from Mexico, once again.  I had a good time with my family, playing games and hanging out, same ol' stuff.

I have two gaming resolutions for 2007:
1 - Play and beat every Zelda game out so far (including Phantom Hourglass for the DS).
2 - Reach a DS collection of 100 games (should be easy; I already have 83)

I hope you all had a great time during the holidays.  I will soon work on my personal Games of the Year Awards and I'll post it here on my blog, so look forward to that.

Laters!
