Me VS the Roach: A Must-Read Story

As some of you know, I have insectophobia (fear of insects; any size, any shape, except flies :)).  This isn't as embarassing as you might think; you can't really judge me unless you are in my position.  I have a crazy story for you, and I hope you like it; I certainly loved the ending!

Thursday, April 26, 2007 - 11:43 PM Pacific Standard Time
Location: sergioalb64's room, drawing desk

After enjoying an episode of The Simpsons, it was time once again to get back to work and finish my drawing homework, which I hate.  I decided to do it anyways, and when I turned on my lamp...I saw it.  A huge, black roach was running around my sketchbook!  I panicked; I knew I had to kill it before I could resume my homework, but I was too scared.

I looked at the side of my sketchbook and there it was again.  It was actually much shorter than what I had first thought, and it was brownish rather than black.  Still though, this thing was my enemy.  I grabbed a pencil and poked the book next to it, and the roach moved and crawled inside the pages of the book.  I tapped the top of the book and the roach flew away; I was so scared!  It was now there, waiting for me to end its life.

I couldn't bring myself together though; I didn't know what to do!  After a minute or two of looking at it, I figured it out; I put a pair of socks on my hands as if they were gloves, and as I was about to crush my enemy it flew away, but this time it crawled UNDER my desk!  I grabbed my desk lamp and looked around for the roach, but I couldn't find it.

It was all lost; I couldn't continue my homework due to fear, and the next morning I would know that my enemy was still around, waiting to scare me again.  I decided to go to bed and hope that I would forget everything overnight.  I put on my PJs, brushed my teeth, and went to my room.  As I put my glasses on the desk, I decided to look around for the roach for the last time; I moved my sketchbook and there it was, once again, just waiting!  Big mistake pal, the biggest mistake of your life; you should've stayed under the desk!  I wasn't going to make the same mistake twice; inmediately I crushed my enemy, enjoying every crunch its body made.  I noticed that I was figthing a strong foe that was still alive, so I kept pushing and crushing until it was dead; DEAD!

I won.  I was so happy that time; one bug less to go.  May this be a lesson to every bug out there; if you mess with sergioalb64, sooner or later you will end up DEAD.

Here's a picture of the corpse of my enemy:

THE END

My first school fight

Hey there everybody. Here's a story for ya; my first (and only) school fight, back when I was 12, living in Mexico.

It was a bright, sunny day; everything was great. Back then I did have friends, but my grades weren't as good as today, but hey, life was good. I had recently bought a Game Boy and Pokemon Blue; such an addictive game was certainly keeping me happy. I also couldn't get enough of the Pokemon cartoon; I would watch it every day, sometimes even twice a day thanks to Cartoon Network's reruns late at night.

Then came the bully. I forgot his name, but he wasn't a 'major' bully; he would only pick on the really weak ones (myself included). He started making fun of Pokemon and calling me names such as Pokeholic and the like. I ignored him, as I normally would, but for some reason I just couldn't take it anymore. I grabbed his shirt underneath his neck, and with all the 'strength' of my left hand, I punched him on his right cheeck and pushed him down to the ground.

Everybody crowded around us to see what would happen next. The bully was MAD, but he didn't fight back until later. A few minutes passed and he exploded; he walked towards me and pushed me. I fell on a bunch of backpacks that were on the floor, and he was looking at me as thinking 'I've got you now', but oh surprise, a school's proctor came over and stopped the fight, if it could even be called a fight, because, to my surprise and that of many others, I was the only one that actually hit my opponent!

Imagine how I felt; it was great! I knew I was weak, but I knew that I could use that as a disguise, making people think that I wouldn't fight back and then surprising them with a nice fist on their faces. The next day I was told that the bully had cried after I left; that was the icing of the cake! Since then the bully stopped bothering me, and I've never fought again.

I don't see myself fighting nowadays, being a college student and all, but who knows? This story might come in handy someday, although I hope it doesn't :) So if you know of a weak guy, don't underestimate their hidden strength :D

THE END

I found a DS addiction; try it yourself!

I found a beautiful little game that is very addictive.  It's called Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, and it's a mix of RPG and puzzle games, and although you might be thinking, 'how on earth can that work out?', well, it does, and it does so pretty darn well!  Kudos to the publishers for making a free PC demo of the game for you to try out.

My Review of the Game (Portable Video Gamer)

Do yourself a favor and try this out, either for the DS or the PSP; you won't regret it!

How do you...

Hello everybody!

How do you make yourself do something you don't want to do because you don't like doing it?  Right now, as I type this, I'm supposed to be doing my drawing homework.  I don't hate drawing, but I have absolutely zero satisfaction while doing it, and no intentions to do so.  Heck, I was supposed to do this homework two days ago!

So please, give me tips on how to make myself do this stuff.  I do everything I need to do....except if it involves drawing, and I don't want a bad grade...

Tips; tips!

Introducing: sergioalb64-2

I would like you all to meet sergioalb64-2!

I'm the guy to the right.  My twin brother to the left only visits me once a year, so we like to play DS for a long time.  He's also a crazy DS fan like me and....eh who am I kidding, it's a clone I made in my garage.  Don't tell the government but I have a cloning machine, and I.......oh nevermind...it's just a picture with an illustration on top of it.

Pretty cool huh?  I would like to have a crazy DS fan as a friend or brother, but I don't have one :(
But I have you guys! :D

I'm going to update my About Me section soon.  Until then, have a good one!

I want more comments on my blog!

Hello there.  Sorry to be so direct, but I had to grab the attention of those that rarely visit my blog :)

I do, however, really want more people to comment on my blogs.  I'm not just going to ask though; I will do what I want others to do.  I'm going to comment on other user's posts more often, starting today!

So you should see my comments on your blog more often now.  I hope you do the same for me; it would be appreciated :)

Thanks for your time; have a great day!

Special HOLY COW! Edition: Back to School: Part 3

First of all; HOLY COW.

Course: Sculpture
Difficulty: 4 / 5
Professor: Patrick Harper, a cool guy, very friendly.
Summary:  This clazz is short; only 8 people attend, so our teacher gets lots of one-on-one time with us which is great for the difficulty of the clazz.  Basically we draw and eventually will sculpt the human body.  I cannot draw; I admit it, I stink at it, so this is hard for me to do; very hard.  The only thing keeping the difficulty at a 4 instead of a 5 is the coolness of the professor.

Guess what?  Next month some models are going to visit the clazzroom (2 male, 2 female) and they're going to pose for us...nude.  That's right, nude.  It's going to be a very awkward experience...

But here's the HOLIEST OF COWS part.  Our teacher made us do some drawings, so I did my best.  ONe of them was of Captain America, and we had no gridlines as we had with the previous drawings, so I thought 'Ok, here goes a stinking piece of pencil markings'.  I did my best in 10 minutes, and this is what came out:

What do you think?  My teacher liked it, and so did my family.  It looks good...but I don't know how I did this.  I'm sure I got lucky; I simply can't draw this good.  I got lucky, and when I do more drawings I'll be able to confirm this.  I just wanted to share this super-lucky drawing with you guys and see what you think.

Well, wasn't that a holy cow edition!  This is the hardest clazz of all and the one that will give me the most homework, but at least it's just one and not two like in previous quarter.

I'll see you guys later!  Take care.

Back to School: Part 2

Course 2: Information Visualization
Expected difficulty: 3 / 5
Professor: Mr. Adam Knott, a pretty cool guy who is very easy to get along with and knows what he's teaching.
Subject Matter: Pictures, video, and images that revolve around good design; power images that stop the viewer and make him or her look twice.  Basically you take pictures, shoot video, or create illustrations that are well designed and interesting to look at.  clazz is easy, but the homework can be hard unless you have the right tools and good ideas; I don't have good tools, but I have good ideas :)

I'll be back Friday with a summary of my final course.  Until then, take care!

Back to School: Part 1

First Course: Advanced English Composition
Apparent Difficulty: 2 / 5
Teacher: Jocelyn Taylor, a nice old lady with lots of degrees but with low technological knowledge.  Good sense of humor, very easy-going, and won't leave much homework, and you can make up homework whenever you feel like it.
Subjet Matter: English Writing; that's it.  It will be easy; I have lots of experience with the written word, so this course should be E-Z.

I'll be back Wednesday with the next course summary.
