A secret about me...

Just felt like sharing something about me with you guys.

I haven't worn shorts in YEARS. Well, except for very rare swimming occasions. You see, I have very hairy legs. Like, the hairiest legs in...America, if not the world :) Not joking:

Here's the kicker; that one isn't mine; mine are even hairier! Taking a picture of 'em would be a crime against nature and considered online indecency :D So basically nobody has seen my legs. I'm also never barefoot.

So no shorts for me. I never even consider wearing them, even if the weather is super hot (like it is right now). I could shavemy legs,but...that would be weird :P

My vacation at Mexico

Well, as usual, my visit to Mexico was good enough. This time I wasn't so bored thanks to Pokemon Pearl; I played that game about 2 hours every day!

This year's main attraction was the baby boom; lots of new members of the family were awaiting our visit:

From left to right: Omar, Renata, and Landon

As expected, every baby's parents thought theirs was the cutest. Personally, I still prefer the one from last year:

Eden, about 14 months old

Elections were about to take place in Chihuahua (state) Chihuahua (city), my home town. You couldn't walk ten steps without facing yet another politician's poster:

That Cano guy to the right almost won; he only lost by 300 votes

Surprisingly, I didn't eat as much this time around! Oh yeah, and I saw a nest with birds:

I played my cousin's Wii and, well, I just don't like the thing; it feels too gimmicky to me, but I'm sure that if I had one I would get used to it. Like I said before, I won't buy a Wii until a new Zelda is made for it.

That's pretty much it; a few get-togethers here and there, and thankfully no accidents this time around. As much as I like the US, Mexico is still an awesome country and place to be. Who knows? In the future I might retire and go back there :)

Back from Mexico!

Hey there, how are you all doin'? I'm back! Got home late last night, but had enough time to watch Nintendo's E3 press conference. Did you watch it? DS fans like me were extremely dissapointed; hardly any new games announced. It was all Wii, Wii, and Wii.

Anyways, I'm back. I'm planning to post some interesting blogs as days go by. Here's a preview of some of them:

- Vacation: a little summary of how things went down the border, including some pictures
- Brother VS Sister: a few facts about my relationship (and fights!) with my sister
- My First Kiss: that's right; the story of my first kiss. Ahhhhhhhhhh

I'll have more, too. Keep coming back, and have a great day!

Time to pack!

Well everyone, it's time to get ready to leave. Long car trip to Mexico tomorrow; both DS Lites fully charged :)

I'll keep important things posted on my blog, although not as frequently as usual. Have a great summer everyone, and take care!

My DS pictures on DS Fanboy!

My DS collection pictures made it to DS Fanboy.

INTRO: "Some people just have it all, and reader sergioalb64 seems to be in that group. As soon as we saw his enormous DS collection, we knew we would have to feature it here. Does anyone need 100 DS games and 38 styli? No, probably not, but we bet it would be really nice to have. Though deciding what to play might take a while. Like, days. "

Just a quick update. I'll be saying good-bye tomorrow night!

Once again, I'm going to Mexico.

It's that time of the year again; summer comes, sister's out of school and we head down to Mexico (or Tacoland, as I like to call it) to spend time with the family living there. I'll be going next Saturday; I'll make sure to leave a goodbye blogpost then.

This will be a little different now. I only have a two week break from school, which means I'll have to come back alone and my mom and sister will come back a week after I do. It'll be awkward, just staying here with my stepdad...but I'll manage :) I'm taking my laptop to Mexico so I can do a few updates to my site (again, portablevideogamer.com). I'll keep playing my DS, of course; in fact I'll probably play some old games like Children of Mana. I'm also going to get somewhat ready for my next courses; I'll take my design books with me and a blank notebook for quick sketches and drawings. I can't believe it, but I'm actually learning how to draw decently, and even crazier...I like doing it! Man, is the world changing...

Anyways, I wish everyone a happy vacation time too...if you have one :) If you don't, don't worry; life is great at any time no matter what you do, just keep doing what you like and everything will be nice and great. I'll say bye next week!

History of the Game Boy line

Well, I've done a new article for my site (portablevideogamer.com). It's a rundown through the history of the Game Boy franchise. It's pretty cool; take a look and judge yourself!

INTRO
On January 10, 1989, a patent was filed that would lead to the creation, distribution, and ultimate enormous success of the world's most popular videogame machine: the Game Boy portable gaming series. Nintendo's previous handheld experience with the Game & Watch (a watch that included mini-games for quick play), led to the invention of a fully-developed, portable gaming system. Many people imagined the Game Boy would play just like the Game & Watch systems, with different games available for purchase but featuring little differences amongst them. Surprisingly, the Game Boy allowed for development of sophisticated games of many **** and genres. The Game Boy has had many different variations over time and eventually led to the creation of the Nintendo DS. Hop along as we explore the history of the Game Boy franchise and take a look at how things have changed along the way.
