The game failed to meet hype, but the thread exceeded it! :)ActionRemix
You're right. It's exceeding it so far! :D

Also, funniest moment in the game yet which happens right at the beginning:

When the Loftwing spits Zelda's letter in Link's face

madsnakehhh

I think the funniest is when Groose is talking trash before the wing ceremony. If you say "nice hair", he has a pretty funny response. :P

IMO the funniest part so far has been Zelda in the ceremony saying "so, do you know what's next" or something like that, she is such a tease :P

He he, forgot about that one. :D She even leans in a little too.

[QUOTE="BrunoBRS"]the timeline supposedly goes like this: SS -> OoT -> majora's mask -> twilight princess. OoT -> wind waker -> phantom hourglass -> spirit tracks. honestly the games involving the four sword are pretty much spin-offs from a story perspective (even though minish cap is the best 2D zelda game ever), same for link's awakening and the oracle games. zelda 1, zelda 2 and ALttP don't really have any connections that can be made to the timeline.

Not sure about zelda 1 and zelda 2, but we know for sure that LttP comes after OoT, because they mention the "Imprisoning War", and Ganon getting his hands on the triforce, both of which are confirmed to occur in OoT. Also, the towns in zelda 2 are named after the sages , so maybe we can take that to mean it came afterwards as well. I'm fairly sure it's been confirmed that OoT is the first in the timeline. (Well, SS is now.)

I'm loving the game to bits. Played about 6 hours in a row yesterday, with only a slurpee break. You can really see all the best parts of each Zelda game in Skyward Sword. And graphically it beats any game I have ever played

LaytonsCat
Agree, it's amazing so far. I'm about 7 hours in, I'm just curious how far into the game are you? I feel like I'm going slow because I like to enjoy a Zelda game as long as possible. Are you in Eldin yet? I haven't been there yet.

Is this game worth getting? A friend said he might get it for me if I really want it, to make up for my copy of Wind Waker he lost years ago.

I heard it's "the best Zelda game since Ocarina of Time," but GS gave it a 7.5? NTM some of you guys are whining about the controls.

Yoweeh
Absolutely yes. This game is great. From the first 4 hours, I can say this is one of the best Zeldas ever.

From the first 4 hours of the game, I can say with complete confidence that this is at the VERY LEAST a 9.5 game.

[QUOTE="sharkenleo"][QUOTE="mario-galaxys"]Can we refrain making it personal?mario-galaxys

Why? He was clearly wrong about the controls being broken.

You think is is acceptable to engage in personal attacks against a reviewer because you strongly disagree with him? Why not attack his arguments instead of him personally by using insulting terms like "tool"?

Go play call of duty or something, Tom.
