Already gave my gamecube away, so will definitely be keeping my wii. I would still have my n64 if it hadn't gotten stolen. Still hurts. :'(

The CD is f-ing amazing. Already ripped it onto my computer. The orchestrated version of Dragon Roost Island in the first track is EPIC. :D

I'll be playing later, the brid controls are kind of hard to get used to, remind me of my least favorite aspect of SMG2, the bird levels, but so far the game is charming and i like the looks of it, oh and Zelda is freaking adorable :)

madsnakehhh
I had a bit of trouble with the bird controls at first as well, but you'll get the hang of it. And agree about Zelda.

[QUOTE="locopatho"][QUOTE="sharkenleo"][QUOTE="ActionRemix"]We like Zelda for different reasons and that's all there is to it. A mediocre Zelda with no exploration or sidequests was already one of your favorites. It makes sense to me that you wouldn't have a problem with the 100% linearity, boring filler, and generic sidequests of Skyward Sword.

Zelda has never been about exploration. It's not an RPG, it's an adventure game. The game is no more linear than Wind Waker, the only difference is that instead of being able to sail to whatever islands you want (only to find you can't do anything there yet) like in Wind Waker, this game makes it fairly clear what places you can go to and which places you can't. Not sure why you would prefer the former, as it's a time waster most of the time. Also, not sure what classifies as a "generic sidequest" in your book, but I'd love to hear what the difference is between the sidequests in TP and SS and the rest of the series. (Not counting MM, obviously. That game was a sidequest frenzy.) What seems to be the case here is that you came into the game wanting to hate it because you didn't like TP, and you've convinced yourself it's a "mediocre" game.

Marp? Zelda started off completely about exploration. It's been getting more linear with the newer ones, which isn't a good thing for many Zelda fans. Zelda 1, LttP, Ocarina, Windwaker all had (for their time, and considering the consoles they were on) big worlds that were insanely fun to explore...

It didn't start off "completely about exploration" just because the worlds were big and there were no restrictions. For example, in OOT, sure you could visit gerudo valley and zora's domain before doing anything else, but you wouldn't be able to move the story along. This is exactly what a lot of people complained about with TP. The world was too vast and people didn't like having to constantly traverse the overworld. SS went in the other direction, but people still complain. There's just no pleasing some of you.

Wow, this is best Zelda game ever made, Nintendo really shows they are the best when it come to this. The new tools give very fun puzzles.

Only bad is the graphic, yeah i know this is not a graphic game but sometimes even when you are used to it you think wow this looks really bad. I dont know if my video cable is bad or something but when i crawling through tunnels i get some vertical lines over whole screen and then add the bad textures in tunnels it looks so terrible.

Yeah, I'm enjoying the hell out of it as well. I've only done the first dungeon but I can already tell this game is one of the best they've made. So far, I'm enjoying it more than I did TP, and maybe even more than WW. Not sure what all the debbie downers were complaining about. (I'm looking at you, action remix).

I have a feeling that's what 90% of System Wars looks like.

Kandlegoat
Possibly, but not me. That's not remotely what I look like. :P
