@gamemaven Passive-aggressively questioning my mental state (in all-caps, to boot: What is this, a BBS thread circa 1992?) is an imbecilic way to defend your position. I actually have no love for cops, they're a legalised lynch mob that show contempt for most citizens at the best of times. The point you're missing is that none of the low-life women in this game are nearly as interesting or richly-developed as their low-life male partners, and that's a problem for the reviewer. Doesn't have to be for you or me but it is for her. Nothing to get your panties in a bunch, by any standard of logic or clear, critical thinking. Merely one reviewer's opinion, which you are more than welcome to take or leave.
@DoubleAxe LOL at even bringing up "misandry". You lost me with that. Like white people who yell "reverse racism" the second anyone mentions the category of privilege. Sad. Pathetic. Almost as if dudes are DYING to be victimised.
@gamemaven @joke_man Objectivity does not apply to artistic reviews. Period. Misogyny isn't a problem merely because it's "immoral". Your thinking about this subject is limited at best. You're missing the nuance while being loathsomely judgmental in your categorisation of those who disagree with you, which BTW is highly illogical and subjective, making you a GIANT hypocrite.
@thunderseagull Knee-jerk reactionary clap-trap. "Oh no, yet another well-loved game franchise got called-out on its well-established misogyny and it STILL got a 9.0!" Can I call you a waaahmbulance, buddy?
@nandito3555 Bullshit. No such thing as objective criticism, especially with respect to art. Your expectation is inarguably misguided. Sorry that calling out mysogyny discomforts you; that's your cross to bear. How is inconsistent character behaviour a "moralistic" judgement? Do you even know what that word means? I ask because you don't seem to use it correctly.
