you're thread lost it's purpose the moment you wrote it. as have been said before, jaffe did not take part in the production of the sequel. Just because he was lead dev on the first one does not magically make him necessary for a third installment. also i'd like to know which 360 game you are referring to?
the sadthing is, microsoft has given me every chance they could to say a big nice **** off to them and go hang with the competition.. but even with the grief the console has given me, it's still the best overall option by a good margin in my book.
halo 3 became unstoppable the moment they decide to put the word halo in fron of the number 3. i still don't relly care all that much for the series, but facts are facts..
my 360 had a great run of a little over a year. it managed the unlikely task of convincing me tha MS is not an entirely useless company, and despite the fact that it ate my games i do not regret it in any degree. i am impatiently awaiting the new chips so i can finally use my refund..
the bashing geow got i though had more to do with a 6 hour game with okay online scoring a 9.6. silly fanboys surely did use the dvd escuse for sure, but ALOT of the critisism it garnered on here did not even mention storage mediums in any way, shape or form.
and since money is as you say the issue, why are we even having this "sony promised long games"debate?
