i have ran out of time for setting up my personal server.

all i need to do is try my wireless card and hope it is supported under linux. if all goes well, the wireless pci card will be detected and i can move my server box to the shed so i don't have to hear the noisy fans. i don't have the time to try this right now. maybe during the holiday.. but i doubt it. PERSONAL SERVER IS NOW ON HOLD.

I continue to request for friendship during online Halo PC gaming.

I've been coming in first place for several CTF games during online Halo PC sessions. During the game I ask other people to add me to their gamespot friend lists. I get no responses. I would even score for their team, shoot down a few banshees, and drive the jeeps so a teammater can take the gunner and fire away at the enemy. Even after successful team wins, none of them add me to their gamespot friends lists or invite me to their clan.

Perhaps I have more to prove, and more games to win for them, before i can join a clan. :D

last night haven't had a good halo game

the rooms i've been going into had less team play. during ctf.. i try to enforce teamplay by keeping close to the group, and to not hog the jeeps, and to share the jeeps. then after an hour or so, gameplay starts to improve, and the teamplaying becomes contagious.

My motherboard doesn't support temperature readouts.

Since I'm using an old PC as a server, my 450 Mhz amd k6-2 3dnow / soyo mb doesn't support temperature monitors in the bios, so of course I got no software to measure this. I'm worried because I may put my server in the shed, and it will burn up in there during the summer.

So I really need to find out if there's a way to read temperatures on that thing using an alternative method .

For now, i'll just add more fans. Not sure what else I can do.

been gaming alot on Halo PC again.

and this time I've been coming in first place. yea.. but only with CTF. Not sure why i cannot host halo pc games anymore. my ports are opened for halo as well. it use to work, but stopped.

i have my old 250 watt / 450 mhz amd k62 with 330 megs of ram

i have my old 250 watt / 450 mhz amd k62 with 330 megs of ram, and I'm thinking about hosting my own webserver. I finished downloading all 4 Fedora core 3 cd's in only 30 minutes. my next step is to install this thing, but I should install the minimal apps that i need.

then after that i'll install java and tomcat

then i'll install postgresql from the site instead of from fedora core 3's install so i can have the latest greatest.
