@PinchySkree: Here's the kicker too. Console gaming is actually more expensive. Quite a few JRPG games are releasing at $25-$30 on Steam but then a year later releasing on PS4/XOne for $50-$60. And that is all ignoring the constant Steam sales omg. PC games are so much cheaper that it can easily turn a $1000 worth of console games into a $200 game collection on Steam/GOG/HumbleBundle/EveryPCStoreFrontEver.
@DragonfireXZ95: That keyboard and mouse don't cost $20. And the CPU is $25 cheaper, not $5. And then you left off all the other sales discounts from your own link provided. I don't think you understand anything. The ship is sinking.
@DragonfireXZ95: "Removing sales discounts" from this list "http://pcpartpicker.com/list/8Y2dFd" puts your parts cost at $630, not $530. And your parts list doesn't even include keyboard and mouse. There are some serious flaws with everything you've said so far.
@DragonfireXZ95: umm. You posted a list of parts that are also on sale. So I don't think you have any leeway to complain about the pre-built pc being on sale.
@mark1974: you didn't ask a question. You made a statement. Sorry but pre-built pcs aren't more expensive. Here's more goodness. $550 pc with an RX 460. You will struggle to built this same pc on your own to match this price.
@mark1974: I posted an example of a pre-built pc being cheaper than the actual parts sold separately. Come back when you have a response, preferably one that validates your conspiracy theory.
