@robbehG: He saved you few details, and what was done here wont please neither the LBGT nor the non-LBGT. If you want to enjoy (which i doubt) this game, stop trying to get information on the spoilers. It wont work in your favor.
@chippiez: Trust me... neither feminists nor LGBTQ are going to enjoy that story. That moron of a writer managed to insult literally everyone. Aint going into spoilers but if that's his view of "woke" we're in for a ride once this releases.
We're talking Marvel new warriors of a let down here.
Overanalyzed click bait. If you even know who Lovecraft is, you know about his views, if you don't, then you will most likely not even try to make the same connections the author of this article did.
No sane person will look at this DLC the way this author did, its designed to provoke drama.
Next time after you cry your feelings out, make sure you include something about the DLC as well.
Oh and BTW. He indeed was a next level Xenophobe, he even hated other WHITES depending on where they came from.
But i will tell you one thing, Whether that xenophobia played a role or not (though im pretty sure it did), it made H.P Lovecraft one if not the greatest horror writers ever, his influence is everywhere. Problems with his work? Nah... farm from it, more like helping today's idiotic journalists make even more drama and thus generate more clicks. Guess you succeeded.
They know LOTR have a very big fan base. I wonder how that fan base come to be. I bet debating the color and gender of the writers and characters was a very important thing when the books and the movies were made.
Well one can only hope that atleast this time, instead of pondering and checking "boxes" it will be talent and love for the source material that will win.
Maybe im missing something, and i dont understand it fully. I mean, im pretty sure certain groups of people may end up really triggered if their in-game "partner" decides to change their preferred sexual orientations or you suddenly get in the middle of an all out BI-orgy.
Maybe its my English but i'd love if someone gives a bit better explanation. Sounds nice from what i read overall, making it a bit more "realistic" but i can see potential problems, which i pointed above.
Seems a bit randomized with the whole "everybody can romance everybody" Even based on your choices, i kinda feel like that is a bad writing waiting to happen. Preset characters can work in a similar way instead of potentially triggering people.
Not sure i will like some of the potential outcomes of this system.
